Byron Shire councillors certainly got the thumbs-down at public access last week from the new Community Alliance for Byron Shire (CABS). CABS scorecard on the Council’s own Community Charter for Good Planning from 2014 saw the local government body given only a 16 per cent success rate on the issues it had promised to engage the community in.
