discouraging and friends obstreperous this week, but if you want to be a leader (and you know you do), act like one. Move resolutely through disappointing circumstances, meet challenges with interest, grace and generosity, then watch your positive attitude generate some wildly successful results. TAURUS: Your ruler Venus in the sign of foreign affairs suggests cultural activities and travel plans could feature on this week’s Tauran storyboard. Along with the likelihood of changing a previously fixed opinion to a broader, more expansive perspective. All up, an interesting, educational week despite retro Mercury’s human and mechanical malfunctions. GEMINI: Receiving feedback not entirely to your liking? Don’t instantly dismiss it, because this week really needs second opinions and reality checks. It’s difficult to interpret mixed messages, easy to be tricked by misinformation, so listen up. And be careful who you trust with your own intimate information and personal details.
CANCER: It’s definitely not a good idea to rely on the kindness of strangers, which right now could be a bit thin on the ground. But with the current astral emphasis in your house of style a smart new look, makeover or fashion upgrade could be just the ticket to spritz up this week’s spirits.
M
SAGITTARIUS: As always, you’re raring to push forward, while the restraints of Saturn in your sign combine with Mercury and Jupiter to pull you back into the past for the next fortnight. The life raft is Venus in your sign – an entertaining, adventurous, belly-laughing diva who sees the funny side of it all.
N
CAPRICORN: This week’s brimming with plenty of fizzy potential, and if retro Mercury chucks a spanner in the works it’ll only be temporary. Because the cosmic force is in Capricorn corner with the sun, Mercury and Pluto all offering your annual opportunity to get that ambitious wish list for 2016 just right.

LEO: This week’s star juice in your house of efficiency, self-improvement and helping others makes it primo for streamlining the details of physical and financial plans, attending to overdue business, getting bills paid and paperwork up to date. Sound too yawn-makingly boring? If anyone could make it entertaining it’s you, majesty. VIRGO: If getting answers, consensus or agreements seems like pulling teeth this week, then stop trying and let situations sort themselves out, as they always do. You’ll be happy you stepped back when certain hidden intel becomes apparent. Meanwhile, Jupiter in Virgo joining the retrograde brigade’s an excellent time for cleaning house…
LIBRA: Communication’s at a low ebb this week. So Saturn in your house of community leadership may see you playing peacemaker in your family or local social scene. Agreeable Venus, your mentor planet, has you speaking with authority and, even more importantly, ensuring that everyone feels they’re being fairly heard.
K
L
SCORPIO: Mars in your sign wants to get on with things – which this week is dealing gracefully with friendship-testing situations, upsetting circumstances, stressful conditions and occasional mean-spirited behaviour. During which the less you say the better –it’s your Scorpio forte, after all. And why use the sting when The Look is equally effective?

JIMEOIN AT THE BALLINA RSL ON FRIDAY
AQUARIUS: According to Aquarian actor Alan Cumming: My mum always told me I was precious, while my dad always told me I was worthless. I think that’s a good grounding for a balanced life. When some things don’t go the way you want this week, a similar attitude of gratitude could prove a valuable equaliser.
PISCES: Fortunately you’re at home in the ocean of emotions, because retro Mercury’s snags and glitches require delicate, diplomatic handling this week. If mutual understanding gets somewhat light on during late-week Pisces moon, tune into Venus in hilarious Sagittarius; use its humour to lift and lighten cranky moods.
