Bensalem Himmich, a souligné, dans son discours inaugural, que le Moussem culturel et touristique de Tan Tan, qui valorise l’humain et les valeurs communes, constitue un hommage au patrimoine marocain du Sahara. M. Himmich a indiqué que ce Moussem, à l’instar des autres festivals nationaux, promeut l’action culturelle, contribue à la préservation de la mémoire civilisationnelle et populaire et fait connaître les richesses patrimoniales de la région. De son côté, le Président de la Région de Guelmim-Smara, M. Omar Bouaida, a mis en exergue le rayonnement à l’échelle internationale de cette manifestation annuelle qui fait découvrir les us et coutumes sahraouis marocains.

n his inaugural speech, the Minister of Culture, Mr. Bensalem Himmich, has underlined that the cultural and tourist Moussem of Tan Tan, which promotes the human and the common values, is a tribute to the Moroccan Sahara heritage. Mr. Himmich has indicated that this Moussem, like the other national festivals, gives value to the cultural action, contributes to the preservation of civilization and popular memory and makes known the patrimonial richness of the region. On his part, President of Guelmim-Smara Region, Mr. Omar Bouaida, has highlighted the influence of this annual event on the international level, which makes known the Moroccan Sahrawi ways and traditions.

«Ce grand Moussem drainera certainement encore plus de visiteurs étrangers de par le monde, lors de ses prochaines éditions, et ne manquera pas de contribuer à l’essor du tourisme dans les provinces du Sud qui ont un avenir prometteur», a assuré le Ministre du Tourisme et de l’Artisanat, M. Yassir Zenagui, qui a souligné que le rayonnement de ce moussem sur le plan international apporte un nouveau jalon au secteur du tourisme. Relevant que cette édition intervient après l’annonce de la vision 2020 du Tourisme au Maroc qui met la culture, le patrimoine, l’authenticité et l’histoire au centre de ses priorités, M. Zenagui a fait remarquer que «l’heure est au tourisme culturel et on ne peut plus dissocier la culture du tourisme». Et d’ajouter que le Maroc a une tendance culturelle très forte et une notoriété reconnue qui doit être mise à profit pour placer le Royaume, d’ici 2020, parmi les 20 meilleures destinations au monde. Le Ministre n’a pas manqué de souligner l’importance du projet prévu pour le développement de la zone touristique intégrée dans la zone de Oued Ch’bika à Tan Tan, qui s’inscrit dans le cadre du développement d’un tourisme balnéaire au Sahara marocain, à même de donner une forte impulsion touristique dans la région et de créer, de facto, un nombre important d’emplois.

Stressing that this edition comes after the announcement of the 2020 vision of Tourism in Morocco that places culture, heritage, authenticity and history at the heart of these priorities, Mr. Zenagui has noted that «time is for cultural tourism and we can no longer dissociate culture from tourism». To be added, in this context, that Morocco has a very strong cultural tendency and a recognized notoriety, to make the most of it in order to place it, by 2020, among the best 20 destinations in the world. The Minister has also underlined the importance of the project set forth for the development of the tourist zone integrated in Oued Ch’bika zone in Tan Tan, which is part of the development of seaside tourism in the Moroccan Sahara and which will give a strong push to tourism in the region and to create an important number of jobs.

M. Kitin Muñoz, Ambassadeur de bonne volonté de l’UNESCO, a soulevé le fait que la forte participation des différentes tribus du Sahara à cette édition est un témoignage éclatant de leur attachement à leur marocanité et à l’intégrité territoriale du Royaume, précisant que plus de 32 tribus participent aux festivités et activités du Moussem. Ce carrefour annuel permet la rencontre des tribus du Sahara qui se voient offrir l’opportunité de sauvegarder les us et coutumes ancestraux.

Mr. Kitin Muñoz, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, has stressed that the strong participation of the different tribes of the Sahara in this edition is a striking testimony of their attachment to their Moroccan identity and territory integrity of the Kingdom, specifying that more than 32 tribes participate in the Moussem festivities and activities. This annual gathering allows Sahrawi tribes meeting, which offer the opportunity to save ancestral ways and traditions.
