Golden’s 7th-inning rally produces 10th straight victory

DENVER — It took a late-inning comeback win to keep Golden baseball atop the Class 4A Je co League standings April 29.

Golden — No. 6 in the CHSAANow.com rankings — trailed rival D’Evelyn 2-1 heading to the seventh inning, but down to their nal three outs the Demons responded.

Golden (13-4, 5-0 in 4A Je co) had a 5-run top of the seventh to grab a 6-2 victory.

“I was pretty con dent we were about to do something, not to mention we had Wicks, Jaydo and Braeden coming up,” said Golden senior pitcher Laif Palmer, who was in danger of taking the loss despite giving up just two hits. “ ose are our guys.”
