Specialty Camps

(All specialty camps are located at City Hall unless otherwise noted.)

Summer Skate/BMX/Scooter Camps 5-13 Years

Camps are geared towards riders of all levels. Students will learn tricks and maneuvers, as well as how to use all aspects of the Skate Park including safety, etiquette and maintenance. Students will be divided by age and skill level. Bring: BMX bike, skateboard, scooter, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, water bottle and daily snack.

Entering 9th Grade Learn the skills and team concepts needed to play competitive volleyball. It is not necessary to attend this camp in order to try out for next season’s high school teams. WHHS 1:00-3:30pm CH-8P $175/190 7/11-7/15

4-10 years Join us for our high-energy, recreational gymnastic camp! We use equipment, mats and instructor led stations to incorporate fun camp games, arts & crafts, and more! We will even learn a fun floor routine combining all the technique and elements learned in camp. Please pack a snack, drink, and water bottle each day.

Disney’s Encanto 5-12 years

Casting all boys and girls! Students will explore acting exercises/games, dance movement for musical theater and an introduction to singing. Students will learn songs, acting, and dance choreography from Disney’s Encanto in preparation for an abridged play that they will perform for the parents on the last day of camp. Children will also design and decorate their own backdrop.

5-10 years GO! FIGHT! WIN! Learn the fundamentals of cheerleading and dance technique which includes stretches, jumps/kicks, cheers, sideline dances, beginner stunting and tumbling. Participants will also learn a full routine that will be performed for the parents on the last day of camp. Fun cheer-themed arts and crafts included.

7-12 years Bring your favorite Minecraft adventures to life with our enthusiastic Play-Well instructors. In a Minecraft world powered by LEGO® resources, we will build shelters to keep out Creepers, craft mystical items that only true masters can wield, and perfect our crossbow skills to stop the Wither from taking over! If you can imagine it, we can build it.

6-11 years You have been selected to participate on the Mad Science All-Star team! Learn about famous scientists and inventors who were all-stars in their field of expertise. Follow in their footsteps as we equip you with the science skills needed to rise to the top. Together with your teammates you will build super structures, create a volcanic eruption and examine rocks formed from volcanic magma. Soar high above as you build a kite and experiment with lift, aerodynamics and air pressure. Discover the secret behind the stars and make a star chart.

7-12 years Mad Science and NASA have teamed up to bring you the excitement and wonder of space in the NASA Space Academy camp. This is your chance to be a rocket scientist! Explore the science involved in rocket construction as you build and launch your own rocket. Use teamwork to complete an important space mission and build a model space station. Explore the farthest reaches of our solar system and create a lunar eclipse in our Mad Science planetary tour. This stellar camp is your ticket to the stars as you journey through the galaxy.

5-8 years Come join our fun and knowledgeable Play-Well Instructors as we use LEGO® materials to build and interact with our favorite fairy tales. Help Cinderella make it back before midnight, fly with Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, and ensure Alice outwits the Queen of Hearts. All we need is your creativity and a little magic to bring it all to life.

7-12 years LEGO® Builders Assemble! We need you to come join our experienced Play-Well Instructors to save the world. We will use LEGO® materials to build our strongest Avengers to defeat Thanos, help Thor retrieve Mjolnir, swing through the city with Spider-man, and tell Hulk to....Smash! Our journey will take us to battles on this world and beyond; are you up to the challenge?

5-8 years Venture into the world of Minecraft in our unique LEGO® experience. Get ready to build your base, craft your tools, use your Minecart to harvest raw resources, and battle to stop the Ender Dragon from ending the world. Come explore the endless possibilities of LEGO® with a trained Play-Well instructor.
