Q: I've heard about some contests but I want to know more about them. What are they about, and how can I enter them?

A: Capital District Convention is the best place to go if you ' re looking for contests to take part in! At District Convention, there are three main contests individuals can enroll in: the Oratory Contest, the Essay Contest, and the Talent Show that is put on during the Governor's Farewell Session on Saturday night

Registration for all three contests will be open Friday night of the convention. The Oratory Contest allows Key Clubbers to practice their speaking skills and can be prepared in advance! In fact, this year ' s prompt is about how you have worked to uphold the Key Club pledge. For the Essay Contests, participants will be unaware of the prompt until it's time to write their essay, and for the talent contest, participants can register for an audition time slot on Friday evening to determine whether they will perform for the convention as a whole.

Various club contests are also due on Friday evening! These contests are the Annual Achievement, Single Service, Major Emphasis, Promotional Video, Poster (digital and non-digital), and Year in Review Scrapbook (Traditional and Non-Traditional, or digital).
