Catholics in Action

The Catholic in Actions Club brings together students who wish to live and grow their faith both within the Verot family and in the community. As COVID-19 restrictions finally wither away, the club is excited to become involved and active again. With plans to attend the of the March for Life in Washington D.C. and many other religious affiliated activities to look forward to, the club’s participants are ready for a year of living out the Lord’s light. It’s amazing to see how the club has grown throughout the years. From football players to thespians, the club consists of members from many different groups at the school sharing our faith.

Members of CIA are excited to launch the first ever Bishop Verot Life Teen youth group. The group will hold Sunday evening meetings on campus under the leadership of Mr. Latell with recent alumni helping as well. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months. Seniors Madison and Mackenzie Thomas, twin sisters and this year’s CIA Leadership Team, say they are excited the club has become such a popular and well attended club in the Bishop Verot community. Mackenzie Thomas - It is amazing to see how the club has grown. The growth is truly incredible and I’m excited to see where it will be in a few years. Last year was a little difficult, but it is time to make up for it and make this year the best year of CIA yet! Madison Thomas - Being able to lead an amazing group of passionate Christians has been incredible. I have made so many wonderful friends through this club and it has given me a better connection with the Verot community. This club was the key to find the faith-filled people I was looking for in my life! I have loved being able to contribute to the growth of this club from around 30 students to now around 100! Emily White (11th) - I am super excited to experience the joy of Jesus this year with the CIA family! I am most looking forward to the upcoming Diocesan Youth Rally and our CIA kickoff party! I can’t wait to welcome new members to the club and help their relationship with Jesus blossom. Mr. Latell and the twins are excited for the year to come and can’t wait for new religious opportunities to arise. BV
