FARMAGEDDON

MORNING GLORYVILLE

Brighton Dome Studio Theatre Thurs 5 June

Shooshh Thurs 19 June

Author and CEO of Compassion in World Farming, Philip Lymbery, will be discussing his groundbreaking book, Farmageddon – The True Cost of Cheap Meat, with Caroline Lucas, Green MP for Brighton Pavilion at the Brighton Dome Studio Theatre on Thu 5 June at 7.30pm.

A unique early morning, pre-work rave phenomenon comes to Brighton. Entitled Morning Gloryville ‘Rave Your Way Into The Day!’ it’s the trailblazer in conscious clubbing and socialising. Challenging societal norms, the event turns clubbing on its head, and gives people a healthy and sustainable means of expression.

This stimulating evening of discussion will look at his terrifying investigative journey behind the closed doors of a runaway industry across the world – from the UK, Europe and the USA, to China, Argentina, Peru and Mexico. Philip Lymbery and Isabel Oakeshott’s eye-opening account highlights the worldwide crisis in mega-farming. It is both a wake-up call to change our current food production and eating practices, and an attempt to find a way to a better farming future.

On Thu 19 June, at 6:30am - 10:30am, Brighton’s Shooshh will be see locals rejig their usual morning routines and go clubbing, before heading on to work.

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session including Amy Anslow from hiSbe, the new ethical supermarket on London Road, Brighton. brightondome.org/event/5585/farmageddon
