COULD YOU BENEFIT FROM A TOWN COUNCIL GRANT?

We award grants that will benefi t the town and its communities. We award Sports Grants, Social & Emotional Wellbeing Grants and General Grants.

Recently we gave £1,840 to the Southcourt and Walton Court Community Project to support half term activities at the Go Play Holiday Club. The project’s objective is to provide children with opportunities to play in a safe environment which promotes physical, mental and psychological health and wellbeing. Members of the Grants Committee visited Go Play Holiday Club to meet the children and staff and to present the cheque to them.

Other groups which have been awarded grants are: • Hindu Temple Trust were awarded £1,100 towards the Trust’s Spring Festival of Colour • Community Unity Project were awarded £2,000 for a replacement minibus • Aylesbury Volleyball Club were awarded £2,000 towards hire of hall, facilities and professional coaching for youngsters • Autumn Leaf Club were awarded £1,000 to go towards an outing for the group • Oakfi eld Ladies Club were awarded £800 towards speakers and demonstrators • Thursday Morning Club were awarded £800 to go towards a trip to Milton Keynes Museum • New Testament Church of God (Tabitha) Foodbank were awarded £2,500 towards a fridge/freezer and the refurbishment of the storage room to help increase the distribution of the foodbank to families and individuals.
