TEAM POLICIES

Team Benches

Eighteen (18) seats will be provided on the bench for team personnel. A maximum of 15 players in uniform and eight (8) individuals (or more if there are fewer than 15 players in uniform) will be permitted on the team bench. Replacements are permitted up to the starting time of any game, provided the Championship Director is notified. Each institution must submit a Bench Credential/Official Travel Party Form (Appendix A) by Noon on Monday, February 20, 2023. Submit form to Jazmin Sherard at jsherard@atlantic10.org.

Official Scoring Table

The Atlantic 10 Conference, in conjunction with CHASE Fieldhouse, will appoint the game staff for the championship.

National Anthem

The National Anthem shall be played before the first game of each session of the Championship. If a performer is not secured by the Atlantic 10, the designated home team’s band shall play the National Anthem. Teams are encouraged to be on the floor for the National Anthem for every game of the championship. This includes the final when the anthem is played earlier in pregame. Anthem times will be listed on the Pre-Game Protocol/Timing Sheets (posted on locker room doors). Teams must line up on the free throw line at the anthem preparation horn.

Pregame Introductions

The public address announcer shall introduce the starting lineups in the following order, beginning with the designated visiting team: FORWARD, FORWARD, CENTER, GUARD, GUARD. The visiting team will be introduced first, followed by the home team, and arena lights will be lowered for the introduction of both teams. Once introduced, players will proceed to the foul line for the remainder of introductions.

Game Films

A copy of each game in which a team participates will be available from DVSport shortly after their game on a team-provided hard drive/flash drive. Teams may not film their games. Any hard drive submitted to DVSport must be formatted for use on a Windows computer. Apple (Mac) only-formatted drives are not compatible. Typically, most thumb drives are compatible out of the box. TEAMS MAY NOT PLUG DIRECTLY INTO THE TELEVISION PRODUCTION TRUCK.

Teams will receive games involving future opponents through the Synergy platform.

Coach Scouting Seats

Three (3) seats will be available on press row for the coaches of any team(s) that will possibly meet the winner of the game in progress in the immediate round that follows.

Postgame Awards Ceremony

An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the conclusion of the championship game. The winning team must remain on the floor for the postgame awards ceremony. The losing team is not required to remain on the floor. The following awards will be presented in the order in which they are listed:

1. All-Championship team awards (five including MOP)*

2. Most outstanding player award*

3. Championship team individual awards (23)

4. Championship team trophy

*Chosen by the media

CHAMPIONSHIP SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

The use of these sites by these individuals is not permitted during the game, including halftime. No updates are permitted to be posted by the individual or anyone representing him/her during this prohibited time on any social media account.

Championship Towels

Twenty-five (25) commemorative A-10 Championship towels will be distributed in each locker room of the two teams participating in Sunday’s Final. These are meant as souvenirs for the travel party. A separate supply of towels will be provided as bench towels.
