Visitors from the U.S. will NEED A VISA. DRESS CONSERVATIVELY
as you would in most surrounding countries. If you want to avoid attention, cover yourself from shoulder to knee. Some temples will require even more modesty. Like all Asian cultures, remember to TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES
when entering someone’s home.
SIMPLE PLAN TO SEE THE COUNTRY
L A N K A
Sri Lanka has beautiful beaches, rainforests, waterfalls, tea plantations, mountaintops, safaris, and culinary excursions. Time, and people, move a at a leisurely “islander” pace. The people are warm and friendly, and I loved enjoying seafood along the coast.

SRI LANKA is a unique travel destination with much to offer. Only about the size of Ireland, it’s a hidden gem that many who have visited do not want to spoil by sharing. Some people may associate the country with India although they are two separate countries, both previously ruled by the British (India until 1947, Sri Lanka until 1948).
