2022 Hot Tubs – The New Season

Since the pandemic, hot tubs have been a real success story in the UK and for many involved in the sector, 2021 was another amazing year. With demand across both domestic and commercial markets still strong, manufacturers and distributors are always looking to stay one step ahead rival brands and a new season brings new opportunities. In this edition, we look at what’s new in this busy and competitive sector By Jon Wadeson

hether purchased as a replacement for the missed family holiday or for their hydrotherapy benefits during what have been recent stressful times, hot tubs and spas in their various forms became one of the ‘must-have’ products throughout the pandemic, and the early signs for 2022 are still looking promising, although demand is unlikely to match the unprecedented levels of the last two years. Despite the hectic times for the sector, there’s plenty of changes still taking place, albeit I would suggest at a slightly slower pace than pre-pandemic. Whether it’s the introduction of new ranges, enhancing existing models or incorporating new technologies – or the fact that distributors are introducing new brands to the UK – there’s plenty going on as the spa and hot tub trade readies itself for the year ahead. So what’s new for this season? Well we round up just some of what’s on offer in this constantly evolving sector.

AURORA - A STUNNING NEW CABINET FROM AQUAVIA SPA Aquavia Spa has launched its latest creation for 2022 – the beautiful Aurora cabinet – an innovative, sensory and sustainable innovation. With this new look, Aquavia’s experience starts from the outside, with a unique cabinet that awakens all the senses. Aurora offers a complete experience from the first contact – its soft and gentle touch instantly triggers a feeling of wellbeing, inviting users to immerse themselves in the water. The idea behind the new design is that Aquavia wanted to transport owners closer to the water through the infinite curved lines of its design. Aurora is a spa cabinet that mirrors the waves of the sea, in order to let people flow into the spa and experience infinite pleasure without leaving their own home. The stunning new Aurora cabinet is the result of investing several months of work in research, development and innovation.

Mimicking the impact of our spas on the environment, thanks to its eco-friendly technology, the Aurora achieves that and has been produced using a polyurethane foam material that respects nature. An organic design is something that truly values the importance of water as the central element of any hot tub experience. For the Aurora cabinet, Aquavia Spa have relied on ‘Triple S Technology’ (safe, soft and strong) as the company believe that each piece of their spas deserves special treatment. The result is this new cabinet concept based on a soft, compact design suitable for both outdoor and indoor installations. In summary, ecological, waterproof, thermal, resistant, antibacterial... these are just some of the characteristics of the Aurora cabinet.

OASIS BRAND GIVES SUNBEACH SPAS GREATER HIGH-END OPTIONS Last year, Sunbeach Spas were given a huge opportunity to bring the world- renowned Oasis Spas hot tubs and swim spas to the UK market. Sold in 35 countries worldwide, these quiet, roomy and comfortable hot tubs are available exclusively through Sunbeach Spas. Featuring one of the thickest and toughest shells on the market and strong frames, Oasis Spas are built to last! They are also some of the most energy efficient hot tubs available, with features including: • Multiple layers of high density foam which reduce heat loss significantly • Low current pumps consume less energy than a 75W light bulb • Covers which use high density foam to create a seal minimising heat loss. The inside of the each Oasis Spa routes warm air back into the system to reduce the energy required to heat the water, and during circulation the water is kept at a regular temperature, reducing the energy used in a standard heating/cooling cycle.
