Joe Hyrkin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
With more than 20 years of tech and publishing sector experience and a proven ability to successfully lead companies from the startup, growth phase and beyond, Joe began working with Issuu in early 2013. He brings significant Silicon Valley experience to the role, having held top executive, business development and new product leadership roles at innovative companies backed by major venture firms. Joe served as CEO of Reverb, where he led the company’s growth and two rounds of financing and he led the team at SingleFeed where he oversaw its acquisition by AliBaba. He also served as Entrepreneur in Residence at Trinity Ventures. Prior to that, Joe held key sales and leadership positions at Gaia Interactive, Yahoo!, Flickr and Virage, Inc. He directed The Economist Group's business in China and has extensive board and tech advisor experience. Joe was educated at the State University of New York at Albany and as a foreign student at Beijing Normal University in China.
Jeremy LaCroix, Vice President of Product Design
Jeremy LaCroix brings more than 14 years of design and publishing sector experience to the Vice President of Product Design & UX at Issuu. He has previously held the position of Head of Mobile Design & Product at AOL. Prior to this LaCroix served as Creative Director, Mobile at AOL Inc. In this role he designed the UX behind the tablet magazine platform upon which he launched two award winning digital first magazines, Huffington, for the Huffington Post and the Distro for Engadget, both rated 5 stars. LaCroix has served as Art Director at Wired Magazine, Creative Director at CBS Interactive and taught both magazine and web design at Stanford, as well as having served 4 years on the board of Directors of the Society of Publication Designers thereby bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to Issuu.
Scott Kinzie, Vice President of Marketing
Scott is an award winning brand strategist and marketing executive who has been driving growth in both venture and growth stage businesses for years. He is passionate about building consumer brands that create real value for consumers, making Issuu the perfect home for him. Prior to joining Issuu, Scott served as VP Marketing at car-sharing disruptor, RelayRides and Global CMO at Johnson and Johnson’s BabyCenter. Previously Scott led brand strategy, creative, and consumer marketing for world-class brands including Gaiaonline and Ancestry.com. Scott holds a degree in visual communications from the Art Institute of Seattle.
Rolf Ussing, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Rolf joined Issuu as CFO in 2008 and leads the finance, facilities and information technology teams while spearheading the company’s international financial operations. With more than 20 years of experience as CFO and COO of several companies in industries ranging from leisure to IT, Rolf has the diversified financial expertise needed to successfully lead a rapidly growing company in the digital publishing space. Rolf holds a graduate certificate in business administration with specialization in accounting and financial controlling.
