The Eco-friendly Initiative: Destiny USA is on track to be one of the largest LEED® certified “green” buildings in the country. All new retailers joining the expansion will be LEED® certified, making this the largest concentration of LEED® Certified businesses in one location. Even after the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate completion of construction, “green” efforts still continue…there are electric car charging stations available in several parking locations, as well as a rainwater harvesting unit, in which water is collected from the roof, dispatched through a series of pipes, distributed into a lined pond, and then circulated to public restrooms and businesses for use as non-potable toilet water.
