Charmed Flowers With a recently opened store near Tower Junction, Charmed Flowers has more space and scope “to offer something different” says owner Ginny Fagan.

As a full service florist providing flowers for everyday occasions, funerals and weddings, Charmed Flowers can also offer exquisite styling and floral props for your wedding venue too. “People sometimes don’t know what can be done with flowers so I like to find out what couples envisage for their day and create the look and feel of it through the flowers” says Ginny. While every wedding is uniquely different, people often recognise Ginny’s personal style of floristry which is quite natural, rustic and unstructured. “I love big blooms like peony roses, dahlias and hydrangeas and enjoy sourcing items like hop vines to provide a less conventional background” she says. Florists are often called upon to replicate vintage and

retro themes and currently wedding styles include long lush garlands, hand tied bouquets, flower crowns, beautiful floral chandeliers and the increasingly popular floral backdrops. “We can do almost anything that bridal couples want, but they often don’t realise the cost and time involved for elaborate floral effects. We often suggest combining fresh flowers with our hire range of beautiful silk floral props to make it more affordable” says Ginny. Another big trend coming through this wedding season incorporates warm metallic accents, little touches of gold and copper are very effective and look beautiful against cream and blush blooms. Ginny advises brides to arrange a consultation with her 6-8 months before the wedding to discuss their preferences, colours and requirements. She sends each couple an itemised quote along with information and images of suggested flowers.

Once accepted she will keep in regular contact with the couple, sending through a detailed list of everything just prior to the wedding date. The experienced staff at Charmed Flowers will

style your wedding venue or they can provide wholesale flowers if couples want to DIY their floral decorations. “Some brides even want to make their own bouquets, but if they do I advise them to practice several times before the big day to make sure it’s perfect.” However, most brides prefer

professional flowers for the bridal party even if they arrange their own flowers for the venue. To accommodate interest in DIY Ginny is launching a series of workshops from 8th September to make your own hand tied bouquet, create a floral crown or arrange flowers for your home or venue.
