Drew Guarneri enters his 14th year as the head coach of the Mesa Community College women’s soccer program. He also coached the men for five Guarneriseasons.established the men's soccer program at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in 1998 and coached through the 2006 season. He also coached the women at CGCC from 2000 through 2006. His teams produced three All-Americans, four NJCAA All-Academic athletes, and one National Team Award for Academics.

He was named ACCAC Men's Coach of the Year in 2003 and ACCAC Women's Coach of the Year in 2004. He also was Phoenix Women's Sports Association Coach of the Year in 2005.

He has had eight state champions at both the high school and club lev els. Two came with the Campo Verde girls teams of 2019 and 2021 and one with the CVHS boys in 2020.

In addition his high school championships he has won five club state titles. Those came with the Arsenal '93 boys in 2008 and 2010 and the Arsenal '97 boys in 2014 and 2015. The Arsenal '02 girls won the Presi dent's Cup championship in 2021

Guarneri has coached a multitude of squads in the Arizona Arsenal Soccer Club since 1995, and has a great deal of playing experience himself. He competed while attending Butler University in 1989, at Drake Univer sity from 1990-1993. In addition he played with the Des Moines Menace of the USISL in 1993, the Arizona Saguaros, a D3 Pro League team in 2000, and finally, the Banat Arsenal, a competitive adult league team from 2001-2007.Heobtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Drake University in 1993, and a Masters of Science in Public Programs and Recreation Management from Arizona State in 1996.

ed waller - assIstant CoaCH Ed Waller is enter ing his fifth season as MCC assistant coach.Inaddition, during his 20-plus years of coaching he has been a youth coach with the Arizona Arsenal Soccer Club for 11 years and was the girls coach at Highland High School in Gilbert, AZ., from 2015-22. He holds a USSF National D Coach ing License, and is a United Soccer Coaches Small Sided Diploma, NHFS Level 1 Certified Coach

KeIraGan wall - GoalKeeper CoaCH Bruce Hough - Volunteer Coach

Kieragan Wall is a local product who played soccer for Hamilton High School and South Mountain Community College. She went on to play for Montreat College in North Carolina, where she was named team captain as the starting goalkeeper. Upon completing her eligibility, she became a Student Assistant Coach for goalkeepers, which was the start of her coaching career.

Since then, she has gone on to be an As sistant Coach for Hamilton High School. In 2021, she was hired to be the Varsity Girls Coach at Williams Field High School and the Head Coach for the 8th grade girls at Cooley Middle School. She worked as the volunteer goalkeeper coach for Mesa for the 2021

Onseason.theclub side, Wall was a member of the goalkeeping staff for the women's ECNL program. She was also an assistant coach for a number of ECRL teams. Now she is the Assistant Director of coaching for AYSO United. In addition, she is the current Director of Goalkeepers for United.

Bruce Hough began coaching club soccer in 1978 when his oldest son wanted to play and soccer coaches were in short supply. It was a part-time hobby but became a little more time consuming after he retired from 41 years in law enforcement.Aftercoaching three years at Mountain Pointe High School on the boy’s side as an assistant he moved to Desert Vista High School on the girl’s side as an assistant varsity and JV Coach. During his five years at DV the team made the State Finals three times winning the State Championship in the 2015-2016 season. Through the years he has coached club, YMCA, NYS, AYSO middle school and high school. In the 2016-2017 High School season he was hired as the assistant head boy’s coach at Higley High School. He had the opportunity to work for his youngest son Taylor the H] head coach. This was the most memorable soccer experience he has had. An opportunity many never get to experience and one to be remembered.

Has done community service food bank drive work, fed the homeless for church and competed in art shows. Has also worked as a Pima County Animal Shelter volunteer, as a Mama Mia set volunteer for a school play. Was Kiwanis Club Treasure for three year. Sang to La Posada Residents for three years. Also, played orchestra for La Posada Residents for three years years. Elks Lodge award winner, National Honors Society. State competition for HOSA, Sports Medicine Ambassador. PERSONAL - Katy Cafaro was born Nov. 30, 2001 in Mesa, AZ. She is the daughter of Chris and Susan Cafaro and is an Elementary Education major. She has five sisters: Sarah, 2; Kayla, 20; Maddy, 25; Bella, 15 and Finny, 17. Has worked as a substitute teacher. Her father played football and her mother volleyball. PERSONAL - Ellie Eatherton was born June 18, 2004, in Jacksonville, N.C. She is the daughter of Michael and Tracey Eatherton and is a Social Work major. She has a brother Logan, 22, who played golf at MCC and eventually turned pro. Ellie is a special education volunteer and a barista.

PERSONAL - Tori Festag was born in Chandler, AZ, on Aug. 4, 2004. The daughter of Shawna Festag has a brother Travis, 21. She is a Fire Science major. Volunteered with ICAN, Feed My Starving Children and at a day care center. Also worked at a day care center and as an assistant coach.

PERSONAL - Adelaide Meier was born Jan. 8, 2004, in Glendale, AZ. The daughter of Chad and Lane Meier and she is working on an Associate of Arts degree. She has five brothers: Billy McCormick, 31; Bobby McCormick, 29 ; Chad Meier, Jr., 20; Dresden Meier, 17 and Zeno Meier 14.

AT AMERICAN LEADERSHIP ACAD. - A first team all-state selection playing for coach Dean Sale. She scored 29 goals in 17 games and added 12 assists. PERSONAL - Zitllaly Padilla was born Oct, 17, 2003 in Arizona. The daughter of Araceli and Jose Padilla has three sisters: Mariah, 19, Ciara, 14, and Kayla, 11, as well as a brother Jose, 21. Mariah played soccer at MCC last year.

The New Media Lab Experience, enhanced with software contributed by Adobe Systems Inc., was created for students to incorporate 21st century multimedia technologies and film making tools for research, academic assignments and a range of communications.
