Jewelled Gold and Enamel Parasol Handle by Fabergé

workmaster Mikhail Perkhin, St Petersburg, circa 1890 struck with workmaster’s initials, assay master’s initials (Ya.L. in Cyrillic for Yakov Lyapunov), gold mark of 56 zolotniks, scratched with Fabergé inventory no. 14430 length: 6.7 cm

A gold parasol handle of tapering cylindrical form decorated with panels of translucent salmon pink enamel over a guilloché ground, painted with entwined laurel garland, each set with three large rose-cut diamonds and framed by chased gold and white enamel borders with small gem-set pellets at the intersections, with diamond bands around the edges, the top similarly enamelled and set with a rose-cut diamond finial.
