The peasants

The Cobra Artist colours in this set were carefully selected and inspired by portraits of the film The Peasants, made by the same studio as the film Loving Vincent. This new hand-painted animation film, based on a famous Polish love story, is completely made using Cobra Artist oil paint. Since Cobra oil paints are water mixable, the artists who worked on the film could paint without using any solvents in the studio, which is much better for their health!

We are excited to announce that BreakThru Films will be using our Cobra line of oil paints to create a film in a hand-painted animation style similar to the studio’s 2017 production ‘Loving Vincent’!

‘Loving Vincent’ is the film about the life of Vincent van Gogh that won the hearts of fans around the world and received several awards and nominations.

For the production of ‘The Peasants’, we will supply over 1,300 litres of our Cobra line of oil paints.

For this collaboration, 2 special limited-edition sets will be developed: Cobra Artist portrait set and Cobra Artist landscape set, both with 10 x 40 ml tubes. The Cobra Artist colours in these sets are carefully selected and inspired by landscapes and portraits shown in the film.
