THE JOURNEY OF ECOLINE Talens Ecoline has been part of the creative landscape since 1930. Ecoline is famous for its extensive range of brilliant and bright colours. It all started with the iconic square bottle. This well-known bottle has since been switched to a convenient round bottle, of course without compromising the quality you’ve come to expect from us. The round bottle has the same stability and wide opening as the square bottle, so you can work straight out of the bottle using a brush or pen. In addition, the bottle is fitted with a handy pipette that enables you to easily dose Ecoline into mixing trays or straight onto your artwork.

MIXING AND BLENDING COLOURS
Whether it involves artistic impressions, product design, illustrations, fashion design, calligraphy or children’s drawings, the brilliant colours of this liquid watercolour ink bring every piece of art to life. The transparent colours give the best results when used on white or very light-coloured paper. This can be Ecoline watercolour paper, drawing paper or cardboard. Talens Ecoline has a short drying time and is not waterproof when dry, so you can continue your work by rewetting the dried paint. To retain the colour, store the artwork in portfolios. Store the pens horizontally so the dye stays evenly distributed throughout the pen.
Ecoline colours are easy to blend using a watercolour brush and some water. If you use the Brush Pen or Duotip, there are multiple ways to mix and blend colours using just the pens.

Thanks to its pure formula, based on dyes and gum arabic, the colours of Talens Ecoline are astonishingly bright and brilliant. If you wish, you can easily decrease the colour intensity through thinning with water or using the Brush Pen blender. Create beautiful fluid and vivid lines using our handy Ecoline Brush Pens. the Brush Pen is characterized by its flexible tip and extensive range of brilliant colours thanks to its pure, dye-based formula. Ecoline Brush Pens, available in 59 colours and various sets, are ready for immediate use and odourless. They adhere Ecoline watercolour paper, drawing paper and cardboard. Easily blend the colours using water or the Brush Pen blender for stunning gradients and colour transitions. These pens are perfect for hand lettering, watercolour drawings, quick sketches and finishing touches. To retain the colour, store the artwork in portfolios.
To create a smooth transition between two colours, touch the tips of the pens together for a few seconds, holding them upright. The fibre tip of the bottom pen will soak up the other colour temporarily so you can create a beautiful transition from the added colour to the colour of the original pen. The same thing can be done using the blender pen to seamlessly blend your colour into the paper and create a smooth gradient.
The brilliant colours in combination with the two different nibs, a slim bullet and a broader chisel tip, give you the freedom to make consistent fine or broad lines and to colour larger areas. The dye-based Duotips work perfectly in combination with the Ecoline Brush Pens and Ecoline bottles and offer you a wide range of options in line weights, styles and colour variations. Mix with water for beautiful watercolour effects and colour transitions. Ecoline Duotip adheres well to watercolour paper, drawing paper and cardboard. The Duotip offers more variety in line width, allowing you to draw everything from fine details to broad lines and easily cover larger areas.
To mix an entirely custom colour, you can put the desired colours onto a non-absorbent surface (such as plastic) and use the blender pen to mix and apply your newly created colour. This also works with just one colour to blend your colour into the paper to create a gradient.
