So far, I have represented OQHA by helping with the awards at the 2023 IHSA Semi Final Championships in Findlay, Ohio back in March. In April, I represented and assisted with awards at the 2023 Region 5N IEA Regional Championship Show in Swanton, Ohio. At the end of April, I also attended the Level 1 East Championships and helped with awards along with other organization’s queens and the 2022 Congress Queen, Kylie Good.

Over the next few months, I plan to represent OQHA at the Buckeye Reining Spectacular held in Springfield, Ohio. I then plan to attend and assist with the lead line at the Central Ohio Reining Horse Association Show in June held in Findlay, Ohio, along with representing and assisting with the lead line at the NOQHA Buckeye Western Horse Association Show in July. After the NOQHA show, hope to represent and assist with awards at the Ohio State Fair Junior Fair Horse Show in July. At the end of July, I plan to attend the AQHA Youth World Show to represent OQHA and help hand out awards.

Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Assocation

Another SOQHA The Madness has come and gone! Featuring huge numbers, late nights, amazing prizes, and deep competition, this year was definitely a success. Each round of competition was up about 200 AQHA entries per judge. AQHA entries totaled more than 14,000 and total entries were over 16,500! The benefit auction in memory of Dr. Kathleen Lennon raised about $65,000; thank you to all who contributed, organized, and participated in this wonderful tribute to a beloved member of the equine community!

Thank you to all who contributed to the success of this year’s show and congratulations to all! Full results can be found at www.anequineproduction.com/soqha-the-madness

Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Association

Our spring show was a huge success; for the first time we gave all around awards. Thank you to Big Dee Tack for donating the all -around awards and thank you to At The Barn for donating the lead-line awards. Our Level 1 show again exceeded our expectations. Thank you to OQHA for donating the amateur and youth all around saddles.

Stalls and electric are sold out for the Six Pack Circuit (June 14-18) held at Findlay Western Farm. We are looking forward to good times, circuit awards in all classes, all around awards, and great food. NOQHA’s sponsored exhibitors party will be held on Saturday night. A pizza party sponsored by Buckeye Feed, coffee and doughnuts sponsored by George and Pat Seanor, a taco party, and a Jimmy Johns dinner are some of the perks. Thank you to OQHA Affiliate Relations for your donation.

Our Fall Extravaganza (August 26 & 27) will be held at Garwood Arena, Columbiana; we are looking forward to this new experience.

Please check www.noqha.com for all things NOQHA. Also check Facebook and Instagram for the latest news.

OMI Quarter Horse Assocation

OMIQHA had a very successful, sold out March show at the Champions Center, with exhibitors coming from 5 different states, and many new exhibitors competing. Class sizes were huge again with fantastic footing for all. The Easter egg toss was very successful with a full arena of participants.

We are now gearing up for what could be a huge June show, and we are also bringing in the Ranch Trail class for our ranch exhibitors. We will once again have a free-of-charge Water Balloon Toss with a payout of $250 split between 1st3rd place. We should have a fun-filled show with morning donuts every day, Friday night pizza, and popsicles and water available while supplies last.

We will also have Miranda Taylor Photography as our show photographer once again. Visit www.omiquarterhorseassn.com for more details.
