East Meets West is a schooling show and is also approved by the Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA) for both days, August 28-29. The schooling show is open to any breed and rider and no membership is required other than those registering for AQHA point consideration.

The 2021 All American Quarter Horse Congress Entry Book is live! We’re back, Congress Strong, and ready for you! Excited to see everyone at the 2021 All American Quarter Horse Congress September 28th - October 24th! #BetterTogether The 2021 Congress Entry Book can be accessed at http://quarterhorsecongress.com/2021-congress-entry-book-forms.

AQHA will recognize the August 29th date for points that count towards Register of Merits, Superiors and other AQHA awards. A fact sheet was recently developed by AQHA and is available at this link: https://www.aqha.com/disciplines/ showing/shows/dressage

Entries are due by August 20, 2021.

AQHA points count for western horses Basic through Level Four. Classical horses will need the AQHA competition license and can earn points Training through Fourth Level. Entries close August 12 with ride times being published about August 25. All entries are made through www.showsecretary.com. The horse’s AQHA papers and the exhibitor’s AQHA current membership card (as well as Competition License for classical horses) are required to be uploaded when entries are submitted. AQHA entries are also required to pay, at time of entry, the $8.00 AQHA processing fee in addition to entry, office, and stall or jump out fees. AQHA horses will not compete in separate classes. Rather, the horse’s tests and their scores will be separated out for the purpose of submission to AQHA. East Meets West will adhere to facility requirements and all competitors, including western, are required to wear helmets. As with any dressage show the horse’s bridle number must be on the horse at all times except when stalled helmets or at a trailer. As part of our AQHA Special Event approval we will be adhering to both AQHA, USEF, and WDAA rules. This will include bit and equipment checking of at least one-third of the entries. All entry information and links to rules can be found on the prizelist at www.showsecretary.com If you have a classical dressage AQHA horse MODA is also offering Mid-Ohio Dressage 1 & 2, a Level 1 USEF/USDF, at the Madison County Fairgrounds in London, Ohio, September 18-19, 2021. All entry information is available at www.showsecretary.com Additional information on all activities with Mid Ohio Dressage Association are listed on the MODA site at https://www.midohiodressage.com/.
