There was No Doubt we were going to own this CHAMPION HAMPSHIRE BOAR from The
Exposition when he hit the ring in class one. Perfect squareness of skeleton is aided by his impeccable angles from the side. His next level look is complemented by unreal rib and body shape with spread and dimension up high and an insatiable appetite. His blade feeds into a big back and watching him go away with the flexibility out of his hock needed to hang banners is irresistible. On bare concrete, he has perfect spread and shape to his toes with strong pasterns and ties it all together effortlessly. He has the stout boar head of a generator and tail root I struggle to wrap my hand around. Maternally, No Doubt boasts a sow lineage responsible for generating Champion Hamp barrows on multiple levels, including a top 5 finisher at the IN State Fair shown by Jada. His first impression was certainly incredible and we like him more now than the day he beat them all. We and others strongly believe No Doubt was the best boar in Indy, and not just talking Hampshires.

What’s Cookin’ offers an unreal presence via his head and neck in a Hampshire sire. Elevated at the top side of his blade and constructed with a picture perfect shoulder, knee and pastern build. He possesses the right set to his hock and drives squarely away on his rear two with incredible toe quality. What intrigues us as much as anything about this deadly profiling boar is he isn’t without true Hampshire muscle. From blade to hip he’s chiseled with a deep ditch and groove down his top with an ample sized dimple above his tail root. His ability to offer this eye catching front end without sacrificing muscle shape and dimension made him a must own and must use on not only Hampshire females, but crosses alike. He’s continued to stouten up like we expected from Louisville and he will definitely see some of our top producing females. From a litter that included the 5th overall Hampshire gilt from The Exposition and from a firm known to generate hogs that breed on such as World Class, No Limits and No Debate it was simple logic to add What’s Cookin’ to our battery of boars.

It only seemed fitting to name the BEST Hampshire boar we’ve raised in the last decade, JUMANJI,
after the challenging year we’ve all faced in 2020. A standout on shavings at an early age, Jumanji has continued to get better and better each day. I’d love to say his mates went out and dominated, but the best two never got to see a ring making that a tall task to ask. Jumanji is incredibly stout and square everywhere. From his skull, to his blade to his hip and at the ground his strong pastern set is complimented with square even toes, a big chest floor and true from end to end. His dam was purchased as the lead off lot from Drake’s production sale and the Drake name is synonymous with hogs that have practicality bred in for generations. Admittedly, she was a little past her prime on show day, but was a very fun animal to show and have represent our program. She and her sister look to be key contributors moving forward. The grandmother (52-3) was herself the 5th overall crossbred gilt for Mia Stump at expo in 2018, and also the champion of division 4. This boar is bred for potency, and his mother also came out of an exceptional litter. He’s not big and tall and pretty. He’s a stout breeding hog with real muscle, and we all know how valuable that looks to be once again moving forward.”

His center rib width is positively uncommon, and with a neck and head carriage that is unparalleled relative to his conservative length of body. His ability to get out and strut across the grass is remarkable to see.
