Hole 1, 358 yards, par 4 A gentle 358-yard par 4 to ease you in to your round. A drive finding the fairway will leave you with a shot to the green which is slightly elevated to the rear. Distance control with your approach is important if the pin is located behind the right-hand greenside bunker!
Hole 2, 351 yards, par 4 The preferred angle to approach this green is middle right in the fairway. The green is upward sloping and tiered to the rear. If attacking a pin position at the back, be careful.
Hole 3, 376 yards, par 4 A fairway sloping from right to left requires an accurate tee shot to avoid the strategically positioned bunker on the left. Your approach shot requires accuracy and control as the green is surrounded by Out of Bounds on the right and a bank to the left.
Hole 4, 474 yards, par 4/5 At 474 yards this was, in earlier years, the maximum length for a par 4 (par 5 for ladies). The fairway, as you approach the hole, slopes gently left to right. With your second shot you must avoid the fairway bunker on the left. The two-tiered green can be very tricky, especially if the flag is on the top tier.
Hole 5, 324 yards, par 4 At 324 yards, this could present a reasonable birdie opportunity for all players. Keep your drive left of centre to give you the best opportunity to get into this two-tiered green. For the longer hitter use of the driver could
offer an eagle opportunity but accuracy is premium!
Hole 6, 195 yards, par 3 Our longest par 3 at 195 yards requires a well struck shot to the green which has a gentle undulating surface. Missing the green to the right will regularly end in disaster.
Hole 7, 371 yards, par 4 At stroke index 5 this hole is a good test for all golfers. A well-positioned drive to the fairway that falls from right to left will give you a good shot to the wellprotected green. The long hitter needs to watch out for the bunker on the left.
Hole 8, 429 yards, par 4 Another fairway that slopes slightly right to left. Your drive needs to be down the right-hand side while missing the fairway bunker. A drive down the left, if you escape the large tree, will leave you an interesting shot across a large dip to the green. Your second shot should be just to the left of the mound by the green and your ball will then roll down the slope towards the hole.
Hole 9, 513 yards, par 5 At 513 yards, this is the longest hole on the course. The copse on the right hand side, 70 yards from the green regularly ruins the score on this hole.
Hole 10, 151 yards, par 3 Five bunkers protect this relatively flat green so an accurate tee shot is required.
Hole 11, 465 yards, par 4/5 A demanding hole of 465 yards should leave you very pleased walking off with a par. There is plenty of room to play down the left thus avoiding the fairway bunkers that await your drive. The goodsized green slopes away from you and has subtle undulations so beware!

Take the Course Tour cont.
Hole 12, 303 yards, par 4 This hole offers a birdie opportunity but beware the bunkers that protect this long green. Drive to the right at your peril and it’s out of bounds up the left.
Hole 13, 145 yards, par 3 A deceptive 145-yard par 3 which is all carry. This hole is played over a gully to a well-guarded green. Getting par is a good reward for a straight shot from the tee.
Hole 14, 398 yards, par 4 An accurate tee shot of approximately 235 yards is required to negotiate this right hand dog leg. The approach to a long, narrow green requires good distance control.
Hole 15, 396 yards, par 4 An attractive looking tree lined hole. Negotiate the fairway bunker at 210 yards from the tee and you will leave a mid to short iron shot to the green which is protected by two forward greenside bunkers.
Hole 16, 182 yards, par 3 Our 2nd longest par 3 with a slightly elevated green protected by 2 greenside bunkers.
Hole 17, 483 yards, par 5 This par 5 has 3 fairway bunkers to negotiate, with a narrow entrance to the green if you intend to run the ball in. Avoid the mounds to the right of the green otherwise a shot or two may be required to recover.
Hole 18, 424 yards, par 4 A tough and demanding final hole of your round. Once the tee shot is completed, the approach to the green requires precision to avoid the 2 greenside bunkers. Club selection and distance control are vital to prevent a shot going long and potentially Out of Bounds.
