We don’t produce anywhere in the world, but we have deliberately decided on one factory in Sri Lanka that has become kikadu’s partner. Transparency//Transparenz Our certified fabrics are produced in India - at a factory that we chose ourselves. The designs were created by kikadu in Germany. // Unsere zertifizierten Stoffe kommen aus einer, von uns ausgesuchten, Produktion in Indien. Die Designs wurden von kikadu in Deutschland entwickelt. The natural rubber we use comes from Sri Lanka and is processed right on-site - without any additional transport routes. // Der Naturkautschuk wird in Sri Lanka gewonnen und ohne weite Transportwege direkt vor Ort verarbeitet. In our sewing room in Sri Lanka, these materials are processed to become our sustainable kikadu products. Every single item is created by one seamstress or sewer only; hence, it is able to tell its very own story. // In Sri Lanka verarbeiten wir sie in unserer Näherei zu unseren nachhaltigen kikadu Produkten. Jedes einzelne Stück wird von einer Näherin/Näher fertiggestellt, und erzählt so seine ganz eigene Geschichte. The filling material is created from recycled PET bottles. This does not only reduce the greenhouse gas emissions. PET is a better alternative to natural filling materials, because the latter tend to dry poorly and, in turn, develop mold. // Die Füllstoffe werden aus recycelten PET Flaschen gewonnen und reduzieren die Treibhausgasemissionen und sind darüber hinaus eine bessere Alternative zu natürlichen Füllstoffen, die schlecht trockenen und gerne Schimmel entwickeln. On the way to Europe, we work together with environmentally friendly logistics companies, and we compensate our carbon footprint. // Auf dem Weg nach Europa arbeiten wir mit umweltfreundlichen Transportunternehmen und kompensieren die ausgestoßene Menge CO2. Our favorite pieces are stored in Stuttgart (GER) // Unsere Lieblingsstücke werden in Stuttgart gelagert.
