Auto Registration

Registration is required: • within 60 days of purchase • within 90 days of becoming a resident • non-resident who owns a business and owns a vehicle trailer, etc. There are certain military and student exceptions. Requirements are located on the website. Required documents include: proof of title and/or current out-ofstate registration, VIN verification form, proof of Colorado vehicle emissions test for diesel vehicles only; odometer reading at time of purchase (if not on title); proof of insurance and payment of fees and specific ownership taxes must be made. License plates may be renewed online at: www.colorado.gov. Auto Insurance

Colorado’s auto insurance requirements are bodily injury liability, property damage, personal injury protection (no fault medical) and uninsured motorist liability. All dogs must remain leashed when on public land. Dogs, cats, livestock and other animals found off the owner’s property may be considered “strays” and could be impounded. Licensing:
