important notes The Fall Festival Hospitality Center will be in Thornton Living Room, Colgate Hall. You must check in to receive your weekend packet, which will contain information on all activities, special tickets and program changes. Special Requests will be honored throughout the weekend. Golf cart transportation will be available for those who need assistance. Parking will be available in designated campus lots, but will be strictly prohibited on campus roadways. Child Care can be arranged by contacting Amy Potter Drummond ’00 in the Alumni Office at amy.drummond@colby-sawyer.edu or 603.526.3722. The Dan and Kathleen Hogan Sports Center will be open for use by alumni and their guests on Friday (6 a.m. – 9 p.m.), Saturday and Sunday (8 a.m. – 6 p.m.). Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, indoor track, racquetball courts, basketball courts, and the Van Cise Fitness Center. NOTE: Use of the Van Cise Fitness Center is limited to those 14 and older. Please check-in at the Hogan front desk and inquire about the use of facilities.


The Dining Room in the Ware Student Center will be available to alumni and their guests should they wish to join our students during mealtimes. Susan Colgate Cleveland Library/ Learning Center and Cleveland, Colby, Colgate Archives, including the use of internet-connected computers, will be open for alumni and guest use during the following hours over the course of the weekend: Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Conversation with College Archivist Kelli Bogan Thornton Living Room, Colgate Hall Drop in for a chat and learn about Colby Junior and Colby-Sawyer College history. Help the archives by identifying friends and classmates in photos; by submitting your memorabilia; and by taking part in the college’s ongoing oral history project.

Did You See What She Wore?! Women in Politics and the Media Wheeler Hall, Ware Student Center More women are entering U.S. politics, there are more women in Congress than ever, and we have female presidential candidates in both parties. But what does this actually mean for women? What do the media get right and wrong in their coverage of women in politics? Professor Melissa Meade, chair of the Humanities Dept., leads this timely discussion.

“Working Women: 36 Contemporary Artists” — Reception Marian Graves Mugar Art Gallery Working Women celebrates 36 outstanding contemporary women artists – from emerging, young talents to demonstrated masters. The art on exhibit encompasses painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, ceramics and graphic design. Join us for a reception, featuring a gallery talk by Professor of Fine and Performing Arts Bert Yarborough.

Colby Sawyer’s Fasten Your Pink Ribbon 5k Run/Walk –Quad Lace up your running shoes for a good cause! Two student clubs, the Health Professions Association and the Guild of Artistic Thinkers, host this event to benefit the American Cancer Society. $10 entry fee, registration opens at 3 p.m. on the Quad.

Class of 1965 Dinner Cruise on Lake Sunapee Join your classmates aboard the MV Sunapee II for a scenic dinner cruise around Lake Sunapee. Advance registration is required. Registrants must be on board by 4:45 p.m. Vans will depart from Ware Campus Center at 4:30 p.m.

100: Head/Heart/Feet Wheeler Hall, Ware Student Center This award-winning documentary by Mike Mooney ‘02 and Will Peters ‘06 chronicles ultra-runner Zak Wieluns ‘02 as he trains for a 100-mile race. The filmmakers will be in attendance for a Q&A.

Friday Night at The Pub at Lethbridge Lodge Colby-Sawyer’s newest hotspot offers locally sourced pub-fare and features our own beer—Capstone Rye—created by our Brewing Science students.
