JPGS ENERGY SURVEY By Zubair Junjunia & Usamah Natha

Where is energy wasted in JPGS? We use resources (electricity, petrol, gas) for everyday living, BUT remember that everything we use has been made using up resources (e.g. paper used trees and electricity, plastic is made using oil and food is cooked using gas and cooking oil). Thus you use energy both directly and indirectly. What is important is that we do not waste energy! Your mission is to investigate ‘’Where energy is wasted around JPGS.’’ Aim: In small groups you must visit different locations around the school and identify the following: 1. Find where energy is being used around the school (e.g. lighting, computers, AC’s) 2. Identify how energy is being wasted (e.g. leaving lights on, rubbish in the bin!)
