SUNSHINE COAST PAVILION - CANADA 150 The Gallery transforms into the ‘Sunshine Coast Pavilion’, a community display reminiscent of the cultural pavilions of Vancouver’s Expo’86.

GIBSONS PLEIN AIR PAINTOUT & ARTWALK A celebration of plein air painting that begins at multiple locations throughout Gibsons Landing and ends with a showcase of freshly painted works in the Gallery.
NICOLAS TEICHROB, ‘SPUN SPECTRA’, photography. Playful images of light shards refracted and diffracted by spiders’ webs. JENNIFER LOVE, ‘METHINKS I SHOULD KNOW YOU’, textiles. Inspiration for these textile paintings comes from the ebb and flow of memory and the remembrance of others.
NOVEMBER 2–26 ‘IN WAIT’, mixed media. Inspired by the myth of Penelope, a group of artists consider what narratives are created as we wait for life’s tides to turn. KATHERINE JOHNSTON, ‘RE-FOREST’, collages. Luminous colours and appealing textures arise in collages of recycled canvasses and discarded materials.
