Week 10 This week we went to the pavilion site and listened to the builder explaining the construction of the buildings.

These are LVT (Laminated veneer timber) which made by glued cross section timber pieces under pressures. Therefore it is a very strong and replaceable material. Week 10 It is the other kind of supporting. However there is some difference between the site placed and the model from the manufactured company (CarterHoltharvey 2013). The vertical element is doubled to strength the supporting.

The fixing of the steel frame of the main building can be showed by the sketch below:

The steel plate that weld with the frame create a larger connecting surface with the concrete floor, hence under the stress, the connection will have less deflection. Sketch blow shows the siting window:

Week 10 This is the tong and groove timber plate that used on the surface of the wall:
