Lent & Easter

For the Common Good Ignorance is bliss they say. But they are wrong. In the case of God’s desires for our lives, God wants us to be informed. God wants us to have an awareness of the way he has created and formed us, the way he has called and sent us in to this world. We are each unique, that is no new revelation. But, in our unique nature, we are uniquely gifted by God to bring certain gifts to bear in this world that reflect God at work in our lives.

Lent and Easter 2013

On Wednesdays this Lent, we will be walking through the gifts described by Paul in Ephesians 4, the gifts of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Teacher and Pastor. We’ll see what those look like in real world terms and at work in everyday life. What does the gift of evangelism look like? What does a teacher teach? Isn’t pastor a job? How could that be my gift? We’ll take time each week to break down the basics of the gifts, flesh out a biblical model to give it a foundation, and then talk about recognizing and applying these gifts in our daily lives. You’ll see the world differently, and it starts with looking for God at work out there every day. See you in worship! Pr. Luke

Mission Projects Showing others in our community our faith by what we do is vital to helping others see who God really is. As it says in James 2:18, “You say

the way to God is by faith alone, plus nothing: well, I say that good works are important too, for without good works you can’t prove whether you have faith or not.”
