Children’s bulletins and ’Rainbow Bags’ with quiet toys are located at the Children’s Worship Station in the narthex. Please return the bags after worship. There is a staffed nursery for infants and toddlers at the north end of the building. There is a Prayer Room available for prayer and meditation at the north end of the building.

Welcome Back Mission Jamaica Zion’s 2013 Mission Jamaica Team literally carried a house up a mountain for a family of 5 kids, and served 300 people at four medical clinic sites.

Announcements & Upcoming Events Zion Book Club—The Lacuna Have you read 'The Lacuna' by Barbara Kingsolver? The Zion Book Club invites you to join them for an informal discussion on Monday, March 11, at 7 in the library.

Food Shelf Open House The Buffalo Food Shelf begins its celebration of March Food Share month today with an open house from 1-3pm. Tour the facility, meet the staff and some of the wonderful volunteers who manage this facility that enables them to help feed individuals and families right here in the city of Buffalo. The Food Shelf is located at 301 12 Ave S, right across from Kids Haven.

Friday Night Fun Night Middle school students are invited to Friday Night Fun Night this Friday, March 15, from 7-9pm, in Trinity Hall. The evening will include letter writing and sandwich making service projects. There is no cost and friends (in middle school) are welcome.

Spring Break Servants Family and youth are invited to sign up to package meals at Kids Against Hunger in Rockford on Wednesday, March 27, from 6-8pm or Thursday, March 28, from 10am-noon. Zion has 50 spots reserved for each day. Sign up at

Easter Basket Project The last Easter Basket item needed to complete the 300 baskets that Zion will be giving to clients who use the Buffalo Food Shelf is a box of dessert mix (cake mix, brownie mix, etc.). Jell-O, potatoes, green beans, French fried onions, mushroom soup, paper towels and toilet paper are also being collected. Cash donations are welcome in a yellow pew envelope, and checks can be made out to Zion with ‘Easter Basket’ in the memo line. Volunteers for basket assembly on March 20 or distribution of baskets on March 21 can sign up at or at the Information Desk.

Family Ring If you’ve ever thought about giving handbells a try, you are invited to be part of Family Ring bell choir for the 10am worship service on Good Friday. Contact Sherilyn to sign up and then come to at least 2 of 3 rehearsals.

2013 Easter Garden Place your Easter plant order by March 21, and your plant/s will arrive at Zion just in time to be arranged in the garden for Easter morning. To donate a lily or other plant: 1. Fill in the form by Thursday, March 21. A list of plant donors will be published in the bulletin on Easter Sunday. 2. To order from Zion, use an order form from the Information Desk or . 3. To order from a florist, instruct the florist to put your name on your plant and have them deliver it to Zion between 9-11am on Saturday, March 30. 4. If you bring the plant, please put your name on it. 5. Pick up your plant after the 10:30 Easter Service or Tuesday, April 2. The office is closed on Easter Monday.

Christianity and the Bible Rick Johnson will offer a Bible Study on “Christianity and the Bible,” on Monday nights beginning March 18. The study will look at how the Bible came in to being from the creation of the Hebrew Bible to the King James version. Videos will be shown on the history of Christianity, books banned from the Bible, and Martin Luther. Sign up at or at the Information Desk.

Social Suppers Social suppers are an opportunity to get to know some new folks at Zion in a one-time small-group setting. Spring supper groups will meet on Saturday, April 13.Participants will be randomly placed in groups of 8-10 adults to get together in homes for a potluck supper. Some groups will include families. Sign up at or at the Information Desk by March 24.

LifeKeys Gifts Discovery Course Pastor Sara Vanderpan will lead the LifeKeys Discovery Course at Zion on Thursday evenings April 4 to May 2. Participants will be offered a structured opportunity to discover or affirm their talents, spiritual gifts, passions, values, and personality – all that God made them to be.
