See an usher for NRSV Bibles, large print order of service and hymns. Children’s bulletins and ’Rainbow Bags’ with quiet toys are located at the Children’s Worship Station in the narthex. Please return bags after worship. There is a staffed nursery for infants and toddlers at the north end of the building. There is a Prayer Room available for prayer and meditation at the north end of the building.

Harvest of Hands is hosting a Valentine’s Sale TODAY from 8 to 12. The sale will include: Baked Goods, Jewelry, Paper Flowers, Valentine Cards, Donation Cards that can be designated in memory of/or in honor of someone special to you (for example your prayer sister). All proceeds for the sale will go the Truckload of Life Project which is scheduled for April 15. We hope to see you at the sale. It’s the 2nd Sunday of the month and Lutheran World Relief coffee and hot cocoa mix will again be sold in the narthex. Those who have placed orders, please stop by and pick up your coffee or hot chocolate. The LWR Coffee Project enables coffee farmers in Africa, Central and South America to earn a fair price for their crops, empowering them in turn to invest in their communities, in education, health care and sustainable agriculture, thus building a better future for their family. Why are we doing this? Zion members get a quality product at a fair price, support for Zion’s Global Mission committee and small scale farmers, their local cooperative and communities benefit.

Announcements & Upcoming Events Life Principles from the Old Testament The Women’s Study on Wednesday Mornings will continue with a new series studying the examples of Biblical figures. Participants will discover the principles God is giving us. This study begins on February 15 and continues through May 2 on Wednesday mornings at 9:30am at Zion. Contact Donna Magnan at 972.6403 if you are interested in participating in the study. Baptism Class Anyone wishing to schedule a baptism is asked to attend a class prior to the date of baptism. Expectant parents, as well as those who already are parents, may attend the class. Scheduling of baptism will take place at the class. The next classes is Sunday, February 12 at noon. Register at zionbuffalo.org/baptism, sign up at Information Desk or by calling the office. New Bible Study “How the Bible Speaks to Us About Suffering and Hope." There is evil and suffering in the world. There is also hope. All of us face issues of suffering throughout our lives and we struggle to find answers to help us deal with our suffering. In this class, the group will look at how the Bible provides answers as well as hope as we deal with some of life's most difficult questions. There will be eight classes which will begin Thursday, March 15 from 6:308:00 PM in the library and will run each Thursday until May 10. On April 19, the meeting will take place in the Triple Fish Room. There will be no class on Maundy Thursday April 5. Please sign up at the Information Desk. Be sure to bring your Bibles each week. First Communion Class Students in 5th grade and above are invited to attend this First Communion Festival on Thursday, March 1 at 5pm or Saturday, March 3 at 9am. Youth News Confirmation Classes - Wed Nights 6-7:30pm This week’s topic: Temptation, Trial and Deliverance Don’t forget your Bibles and Handbooks! Bible Camp Zion is going to Camp Wapo in Amery, WI, July 6-13, 2012. Come be a part of a great experience! 6th-8th Grade - Youth Camp - July 8-13 Cost is $290/camper. A $100/camper deposit is required. 9th - 12th Grade - TIM (Teens in Mission) Team - July 6 - 13 Cost is $290/camper. A $100/camper deposit is required. Look for brochures at the info desk. Registration and deposit must be in by Mar 4. Camp Sunday - TODAY! Luke Halvorson from Camp Wapo, will be at Zion, to address any questions or concerns that you might have about camp. This will also be the first opportunity to register students for camp. Graceland - Sr High Youth Group - Wed Nights 7:30-9pm Don’t forget your Bibles and Handbooks! Snowtubing - Wed Mar 7 @ Elm Creek in Maple Grove Open to all 7th/8th Grade and Sr High students. Students must be at Zion by 3:30pm. Group will return at 8:15pm. Students must have gloves, hat and warm coat. There is a waiver for parents to sign available on-line. Cost is $20, which covers ticket and bus. Bring money for food or a sack lunch. Must be registered and paid by Wed Feb 22! Lutheran Night at the Minnesota Wild Discounted tickets are available for this year’s Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The 2nd Annual Lutheran Night at the Minnesota Wild game is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28, against Los Angeles. Tickets can be purchased online with the special promotional code ‘Lutheran’.

Relay for Life Open House - February 26, 2-4pm This open house will help committee volunteers get the word out into the community about: Starting or joining a team, sponsorship opportunities and fundraising events. The date for the Buffalo Relay For Life event at Sturges Park is July 20, 2012. Registration begins at 4:30pm with opening ceremonies beginning at 7:00pm. Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.
