Akashi Kaikyo suspension bridge is the longest in the world. There is an observation deck located 50 meters above the sea level. There are observation windows in the floor and a log bridge across a glass floor window. Recently, I visited the deck for the first time. I hadn’t realised how much suspension bridges shake, rattle and roll! There are great views of the busy Akashi Straits with it’s international shipping lanes. Great views of the surrounding areas. At the right time of the year, spring, autumn and winter it’s possible to view fantastic sunsets. The deck usually closes at 6pm so in the summer it’s not possible to see the sunset.
