I created a new branding identity for their company. The new logo uses simple line graphics and shapes to show the pedicab. Bold sans-serif typeface indicates the power of human labor. The light red color makes the company more dynamic and vibrant.

They take pride in producing fresh quality beer available for wholesale or to enjoy at their taproom. Located at the brewery, The tap room is a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere in a country setting which offers indoor seating, scenic outdoor seating, food trucks, live music, good company and most importantly, excellent fresh beer.

Brand new packaging design and brand identity makes the brewery more unique, recognizable and perceived high quality in the marketplace. The new design combines the vintage and modern style, gives consumers an unforgettable impression.

let’s talk about today’s mystery Asian ingredient – sweet osmanthus. If that name sounds completely foreign to you, don’t worry. The sweet osmanthus was always called by its Mandarin name in my household: “gui hua”. The fragrant dried small yellow flowers of the sweet osmanthus tree valued in cooking. And if you ever have the pleasure of visiting when they are in bloom in the fall, the fragrant flowers will woo you with the scent of apricots.

Many people know osmanthus, but only a few people know that osmanthus can be used to make delicious food. Osmanthus is a kind of Chinese herb with precious medicinal value. This book introduces recipes for osmanthus. The design of the book is modern but still keeps the traditional Chinese culture.

Many extraordinary natural phenomena are happening every day on the planet where we live. In the society we live in, there are all sorts of fonts everywhere, such as advertising posters, product packaging and costume decorations. What kind of visual impact does natural phenomena and typography combine? I believe experimental typography express nature phenomena will create a lot of visual effects.

In this corporate sponsored project, I worked with two of others academy students, Sadie Williams and Simon Tong. We are given a project directly by the sponsor, GM, and produce design proposals based on the sponsor’s project brief and will make adjustments based on sponsor feedback. Our mission is to create a new branding identity for Buick Velite.

concept

The Buick emblem is a recognizable logomark with three shields representing LeSabre, Invicta, and Electra. A strong heritage of luxury vehicles backs this logomark. Rebranding retains the emblem’s strong recognizability among consumers while opening the door to a younger persona that values simplicity and minimalism.

I love the design and enjoy painting. I have learned Chinese ink painting, watercolors and pencil drawings since childhood. Inspired by Renaissance oil paintings during my university, I taught myself oil painting. Painting built my patience and perseverance; also let me enjoy the life.

The DOT Studio is a brand of art supplies that I created. The name of the brand called DOT because all elements are composed of the dot. From dot to the line, the line to face, and then formed a piece of art. All packaging designs incorporate my paintings. The content of the painting contains human portrait, still life, animals, and nature. Making consumers aware of beneficial interest will add more color to their life.
