AMNION 34

You were developed in the amnion sac. You grew with it, you grew within it. Animals typically tear their amnion sac after birth. They tear it apart with their limbs. Only then can they take their first breaths. Amnion workshop is an experiment. An experiment where body space coorelation is intertwined with highly imaginative concepts. It incourages participants to develop concepts where their body movement compliments or alters space. These concepts can be very unrealistic, spiritul or sci-fi. OR they can simply be biomimicry, just like the amnion sac. Space is what the body percieves. And its perception can be imagined.

35

Movement Exercises Using Viewpoints and other methods to deconstruct the body and space. Learning about gestures.

Using motion capture (Kinect) to gather data about completed gestures.

Preperation for the collective space making with different body exercises. Developing gestures that work solo or with a partner.

Physical Outcome: 3D printing the models.

36

3D modelling of developed concepts using ZBrush:

Dead and Lovely - Jewelery Design The ancient Egyptians believed that their world was inhabited by a host of malevolent forces. To protect themselves from these dangers, they developed an array of charms that would ward off evil directly or endow the wearer with special powers to overcome attack. The Scarab is an amulet, representing the sacred beetle (Scarabaeusaegyptiorum), emblem of Khepera, the creator Sun-god. 44
