QUALITY OBJECTIVES

2. Established AL-Wakeel as the 'Leader' in its field by providing the best suitable solution to our customers' requirement with no compromise on 'Quality'.

AL WAKEEL ALUMINUM FACTORY QUALITY POLICY 1. We consider our Human Resource a valuable asset. As such, their input at the various stages of our business process is important and they are responsible too for such input. 2. We will:     

Provide our products on time in the best possible way. Provide our customers with the best pricing and value for our products so as to consistently meet their requirements, while complying with any legal and/or regulatory requirements as applicable. Adopt open communications with our customers to ensure that their needs are clearly understood and met. Provide system of employee involvement, motivation and training. Set, monitor and measure objectives for all the business process identified within the QMS based on ISO 9001:2000, with the goal of continuous improvement to our business processes and practices.

AL WAKEEL ALUMINUM FACTORY QUALITY INSPECTION PROCESS In Process Inspection and Testing Quality Control Inspector shall ensure and check the quality of the materials as required in the various work instruction issued for various operations. Production stages are identified as follows: 1st. 2nd. 3rd. 4th. 5th. 6th. 7th. 8th.

Cutting Marking Drilling and Milling Crimping Accessories Fitting Arch Fitting Glass and Design Fitting with EPDM rubber Storage and Dispatch

The following checklist is applicable at various stages of production for in-process inspection and testing. Length and Width Measurement. Applicable for production stages A through H. Check the measurement of length and width using a calibrated measurement device, equipment and tapes according to the job card requirement and templates. Surface Scratches. Applicable at production stages A through H.  Check the scratch on the aluminum profile or design. If it can be removed by car wax polishing then it is acceptable otherwise replace the profile with a good profile. Put a HOLD or REJECT tag on the rejected piece for repainting or as the case may be. 

Check the scratch on the glass. If it can be cleaned and removed by glass cleaner, car wax or acetone accept it otherwise it should be rejected. If it can be reprocessed or reusable, store it in the reject area with HOLD or REJECT tag. Inform Quality Assurance Manager and submit report for probable causes. Make request for further study and disposition.

Stain. Applicable for stages A through H. 

Check stain on the coating of aluminum profile or design. It it can be removed by car wax polishing then accept it otherwise replace the damaged profile with a good one. Label the damaged profile or design with HOLD or REJECT tag appropriately and store on designated locations. Check the stain on the glass. If it can be cleaned and removed using glass cleaner, car wax or acetone then it can be accepted otherwise reject it. If it is reusable store it in the designated area with a tag indicating HOLD or REJECT for further study and disposition.


Corner Perfection 

 

   

At stage A, check the degree of cut according to job card specification or template. At stage B and C, check the marking place, diameter of hole and smoothness. At stage D, check the joint gap, milling gap and sturdiness. There should be no gap visible between two profiles and no movement should be detected. Visible gaps and unstable joints will be based as a reason for rejection. The item shall be analyzed for further action. At stage E check the adequacy of accessories. Fitting will be done as per manufacturer’s guidelines and as per requirement indicated in the job card. At stage F check the smoothness of bend and check the die effect on the aluminum surface. At stage G check the corner of the glass matching to the frame and the spacer arrangement between them. Also check the corner of the design and the corner cuts of the rubber to be fixed. At stage H check the corner for dents or damages due to improper handling while arranging the finished product on the rack

Shape.        

At stage A check the profile if it is matching with the requirement as mentioned in the job card. At stage B check the marking shape according to the requirement mentioned in the job card. At stage C check the drilling, milling and punching shape. It shall be good looking, clean and perfect and should not affect the profile. It shall be suitable for the accessories to be fitted. At stage D check the perfect right angle joint or perfect degree of joint as per template requirement. At stage E check the architectural look of the accessories visual appearance. It should match with the requirement of workmanship. At stage F check the architectural look of the arch fitting if it is matching to the requirement as mentioned in the job card and template. At stage G check the architectural look of the glass, design and the EPDM rubber fixed. It should match to the requirement as mentioned in the job card. At stage H check the storage area. Proper arrangement of the racks shall be maintained optimizing the usage of space while keeping the finished products from being damaged while in store. Tightening the products shall be done using ropes. Ensure that the rope will not create any damage to the product. Proper labels should be in the rack.

Machining.   

At stage A check the machining for the degree of cut according to the job card and template. At stage B and C check the machining for the marking place, diameter of hole and smoothness. At stage D check the machining for the joint gap, milling gap and sturdiness. It shall not have any gap between two profiles. Any sign of weakness or unusual gaps will be based as a reason for rejection. The cause of imperfection shall be analyzed for further corrective action.


   

At stage E check the machining for the adequacy of accessories fitting as per the manufacturer’s guideline and as per the job card indication. At stage F check the machining for the straightness of bend and check any effect from the die. At stage G check the machining for the corner of the glass matching to the frame and the spacer arrangement between them. Check the machining for the corner of the design and the corner cuts of the rubber to be fixed. At stage H check for machining that is not required.

Accessories Assembly. Applicable at stage D, E, G and H. 

  

Check the corner angle that will b inserted in the profile. It should be used matching to the corner joint, crimping perfectly, in size and number of the profiles. Check all the accessories that are required to be fixed. It should fit perfectly. Check the EPDM rubber if it is tight and strong enough to hold the glasses in place. Screws should be tightened well and the fitting and fixtures are to be in perfect workmanship. Work shall be smooth and tight enough with proper adjustment. Before storing on the rack, check that the accessories have good movement specifically handles and hinges. Handling. Applicable in all production stages. Check whether the raw material or finished products are handled properly while moving it or storing it. Check that the employee has maintained cleanliness and orderliness of his work area. This can also promote proper handling of resources in process.

Silicon. Applicable at stage D. Check the expiry date of silicon, its properties if it matches to the client’s application requirement and it’s color if it matches  with the color of the aluminum profile in use. Also check whether the silicon is placed to the exact position and crimped immediately. Ensure that the temperature required for storage or silicon is met. 

Neatness. Applicable in stages A to H. Check the cleanliness of the profile, items, workmanship, machining at each stage to ensure no scratch and stain should be found on the finished product.

Non-Conformance Report. Non conformance report shall be prepared for any defects and rejects.


APROACH TO PROJECT MANAGEMENT


APPROACH TO PROJECT MANAGEMENT Project Planning and Control Al Wakeel Project Management Department ensures that all pre-requisites for Project Execution and Control are in place. The Project Manager Engineer (PM) conducts series of meeting to formally begin the planning phase. The PM orients the Project Team Members and review the documentation and current status. The following issues were to be discussed, reviewed, and documented in the planning phase: 

Overall scope, task scheduling, design, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, installation and quality components of the project.

Review the list of risk identified in project initiation, identify new risks, evaluate each risk based on the likelihood of its occurrence and magnitude of its impact, and develop a plan to respond to each risk.

Define co-ordination procedures for those people or groups who are directly and indirectly involves in the current project.

Preparation and delivery of detailed shop drawings.

Organized release of drawings required for the products.

Project Manager refines the business case, secures resources required for the Project Execution and Control Phase, and prepares the formal acceptance package for review and approval by the Project Sponsor.

AL WAKEEL ALUMINUM DOORS AND WINDOWS Al Wakeel Aluminum profiles for doors and windows are made of Aluminum Alloy 6063 - T4 and T6. Alloy 6063 provides good resistance to general corrosion, including resistance to stress cracking. Al Wakeel Aluminum profiles are extruded by Balexco Bahrain which follows the international standards for extrusions, namely DIN 1748 (Part 4), BS 1474 and DIN 17615 (Part 3). The standard specification for aluminum wall thickness of al wakeel profile is 3.2 mm for heavy section and 2.0 mm for light section. All profiles are joined together through crimping by hydraulic press machine with special angle. Aluminum color is either powder coated or anodized. Hardware Accessories such as hinges, fanlight cover, handle, cylinder lock and arm are standards of Al Wakeel Aluminum Factory. EPDM gasket and “hi-fin” seal brush are used in the frame and the movable panel to ensure tight sealing thus making the window dust proof, sound proof, and water proof. Dimensions and Shapes Dimensions tolerances are divided into two categories as mentioned below: Category 1: Standard Dimensional tolerances which meet DIN 1748 (part 4), BS 1474 & ASTM and are applicable for all extruded sections, unless special tolerances are requested.
