As National Panhellenic Conference Delegate—a National Council position she held for 10 years—Malaea not only provided guidance to our Fraternity but also as a valued NPC volunteer, serving on numerous committees and as an NPC area advisor for the state of Florida. In 2005, she became a senior release figure specialist, training and advising campuses on recruitment release figure methodology. Over the years, Malaea has become a sought-after facilitator at workshops and trainings and a respected member of the Panhellenic community. Following her retirement from National Council in 2010, Malaea continues to serve on ZTA’s NPC delegation, as Mentor for Zeta Chapter ( University of Tennessee, Knoxville) and as Convention social chairman. Vivian Ulmer Smith Recruitment Award Presented to the alumna making the greatest contribution to increasing Fraternity membership. Karen Farmer Mills Gamma Iota Chapter, University of Florida Zeta Tau Alpha’s Chain of Chapters stood at 247 links during Convention 2012. As Extension Director from 2004-2010, Karen was instrumental in adding 10 new links to The Chain and reactivating or reorganizing six more. Even after her retirement from

Alumnae Louise Kettler Helper Memorial Award Given in memory of a beloved Former National President, National Council presents this award to an alumna whose service and achievements have made notable contributions to the progress of the Fraternity and fraternal world. Malaea Nelms Seleski Eta Rho Chapter, The University of North Alabama Malaea’s dedication to Zeta Tau Alpha and the Panhellenic community have been remarkable. Just nine years after her graduation from The University of North Alabama, Malaea joined National Council after having served as a general advisor for six years and Province President for
