Congratulations to Valentine’s Day Gone Wrong Winner Chelsea Snuffer. Chelsea wins a prize pack from the Zachary Post. Here is Chelsea’s story... Last year for Valentine’s Day, I decided to do something extra special for my guy. I got creative with it and made up a scavenger hunt. I created riddles for every clue and left a balloon along with it, so he would know he was at the right place. I snuck over to his work and placed a balloon on his black Dodge Ram, along with his irst clue. Quickly, I hurried back over to his house to wait for his arrival. While giggling and stufing his room with pink and red balloons, I received a phone call from him. Anxiously I answered only to hear, “Do I really have to do this now... I have a meeting in thirty minutes!” My heart dropped, because I had no idea about the meeting scheduled early on in the day! He was frustrated, mainly because he had no idea what he should do. He didn’t dare upset me on
Valentine’s Day did he !?! Agitated, he decided he better go ahead and play along with me. No more than ive minutes passed before I received a second phone call from him. The poor thing was so confused, because a couple of the clues were put at the wrong destinations! Thanks to my own stupidity and being in a rush, I got the most important clues of order! That deinitely complicated things a bit. My valentine was left at a dead end and did not know where to go next. I almost cried I was so upset! My long and thought out plan had not gone the way it was supposed to.. Thoroughly annoyed, I told him just to come to his house. Of course, by then he knew that’s where I was. He opened the door to his room, and there I was... red-faced, holding a huge, hand made “Be My Valentine” sign. We were surrounded by balloons, and he couldn’t help but laugh. Even though my big plans fell through, we still had a memorable Valentine’s Day. This year we agreed... NO more scavenger hunts!!!
