The collection was inspired by sculpture artist Henry Moore. The shapes of human form were transmitted to a timeless selection of designs. The artist is historically connected with Burberry and so is with Christopher Bailey who spent his childhood around Moors sculptures.

The collection was inspired by a novel Orlando by Virginia Woolf. The tale reflects a story about gender transformation of a known writer. The show presented contains countryside elegance and significant heritage, Burberry trench coat.

DESIGNERS The concept is based on interpersonal communication between the brand, the designers and the audience. The runway will showcase a competition of youth creative fashion designers that feel related to the brand values and are aiming to share the same experience. The person with the highest rate of sales increased will be the winner of the competition and will receive a scholarship at The Royal Academy of Arts London and a one-year internship in The Burberry London fashion atelier. On the runway will be presented six strong designers with thirty looks.

The trip to the space represents the prediction and outlines of future. The brands are trying to shock the audience with the unexpected. The trend of unexpected includes geopolitical themes and rivalry between the fashion brands.

The political situation offers brands to show their opinion and stand out. They are trying to show reliability and personality through international political events that are surrounding the consumer. CONCEPT OF FASHION SHOW Desires, memories, fears, passions from labyrinths in which we lose and find and then lose ourselves again. – Bernhard Schlink

The run way is representing the main concept of the show. It will be the ground floor for the models and the audience. It will give the viewer the possibility to get closer to the collection and the brand more the before. There will be glass platform placed on top of the walls of the labyrinth, where we will showcase the collection. We involve interactive technologies to boost the sales and make the show exiting in form of black-mirrored screens. The audience can immediately try on the showcased collection through the displays. It will scan the persons body figure and present it in showcase collection. The customer can immediately purchase the tried on item. This will bring ‘’see now buy now’’ to higher level.

The runway will be placed on top of the wall of the maze. The models will be going through the audience in order to get closer to every single participant. The audience can see the pieces up close no mater if they receive front row or not. That way the show will get more personalised.

THE TRAQUAIR LABYRINTH

The Traquair house is the oldest inhabited mansion in Scotland, United Kingdom. It’s breathing with fascinating history and heritage. It was proudly occupied by Scottish kings and the Stuarts of Traquair. The mansion has many mysterious alleys and tunnels that were used in case of danger. The interior includes collection of embroideries, letters and relics of former times.

The collection is inspired by the American artist Richard Serra and his passion for minimalist sculptures. His talent is significant, especially while using sheet metal and hard large-scale blocks. In his exhibition at Guggenheim in Bilbao, Serra presented massive metal maze that allows the viewer to connect with the art and create playful experience. The fashion line will showcase minimalistic designs yet related to Burberry’s traditions and heritage with youth spirit. The aim is to build a bridge between the conceptual art, technology, colours and young talent.

THE FASHION SHOW ELEMENTS & PLAN

The maze is a playground for joy. We get lost and we get found. The connection is real. We will show the experience and the value of human being.

The labyrinth is a tool how to connect the brand and the audience. The guests will receive invitations though the app socializer. The event will be visible in the services ‘’find events near you’. Inside the maze, there are going to be placed virtual black mirrors connected to socializer where the audience can try on the showcased clothes immediately. The can purchase the item in the place from the socializer linked to Burberry website. As the brand is enlarging the focus on younger target audience, we would like to connect them through the innovative technologies showcased in the fashion show and in the app. The information of the show via socializer will be spread faster then usual and it will raise wider awareness.

THE RUNWAY

The models will be walking on a black glass placed on top of the walls of the maze. The viewer will be able to see the design from more angles. The Socializer will be placing interactive walls in to the labyrinth so the audience can try on and purchase the product immediately at the place. In the middle of the labyrinth will be a bench for VIP guests.

The catering we be provided by the Rocket London catering and will take place in the building next to the labyrinth. The party will be sophisticated and will help gather the audience, target market and the brand.
