The specification of this hospital is a type C non BPJS hospital with 30 exclusive inpatient beds. This design became the best studio design and won 1st place due to its unique use of technology and depth of understanding of the complex hospital regulations in Indonesia

Functional Mapping

Existing Site - The site faces northeast with a land slope of 0%-2%.

Mass Placement - Massing is based on functional mapping of precedents.

Dimensional Transformation - The mass is transformed by expanding the mass surface referring to the programmed functional mapping and also maximizing the utilization of the site area

Dimensional Transformation - The mass is transformed by reducing the height of the mass in reference to the programmed functional mapping.

Subtractive Transformation - The mass is transformed by reducing a portion of the volume to create a void space that separates the solid mass into two halves on top.

Mass Rotation - The mass is also rotated to respond to views of Semarang City and the Java Sea that can be incorporated into the site, prioritizing inpatient rooms facing the view.

Mass Rotation - The mass is also rotated to respond to the wind direction that blows between SouthNorth and North-South, so that it can be captured by the building properly

Additive Transformation - The mass is transformed by adding a tubular mass intended as the main circulation space referring to the programmed functional mapping and utilization of transportation technology in the building.

Mass Rotation - The mass is rotated to respond to the sun's trajectory by orienting the mass to face northnortheast.

op. Miro, Canva y rate, faces significant challenges These challenges include the need ctive of this research is to design a c challenges posed by disaster d by the eruption of Mount Merapi tegrates regulatory and adaptive bility, efficient mobilisation, and

The methodology employed encompasses data collection through literature studies, field observations, and interviews with relevant parties. This design selected case for 1st prototype was Merapi Eruption Phenomenon. The design location was determined based on spatial analysis and accessibility, with Kapanewon Cangkringan Plot selected as a potential site. The design of the field hospital adheres to the WHO's Foreign Medical Teams (FMT) type 2 standard, which encompasses emergency surgical, inpatient, and diagnostic services Furthermore, the design is integrated with evacuation facilities to enhance the survival of disaster victims.

The design results demonstrate that the adaptive architecture concept is capable of providing flexible solutions for meeting both medical and non-medical needs during emergency conditions. It is anticipated that the implementation of this design will serve as a model for eruption disaster management in Indonesia and contribute to the advancement of more effective disaster response field hospital standards.

This project is a long-term studio project which is a continuation of the summer school program that I participated in. This project is based on community architecture so that in the initial stages an approach is made to the local community, after that observations are made of daily activities and looking for potential and issues that can be developed with architecture

The idea of making a better nursery house, retaining walls with local materials, repairing soil that has been damaged by fertilizer and using livestock manure as a source of biogas energy are combined into an architectural building in this project

This design maintains the original function of the land, which was a crop field area that is used to grow vegetables in the kinds of cabbage, chilies, tobacco, and beans The site is close to the main road to Tajuk Village, Dung Kluruk Tourism, and Mount Merbabu National Park (Kali Pasang Tourism) with a view overlooking Mount Merbabu

The initiative commenced with the client's request to redesign the maternity ward into an integrated central pharmacy, a proposal that was to be submitted to the hospital director

The project posed significant challenges, namely the transformation of a partitioned room into an open and expansive space that would enable efficient circulation of pharmacists during their work activities.A primary concern was the arrangement of this space, particularly the circulation of staff, patients, and visitors The objective was to create an environment that would alleviate the potential boredom visitors might experience while awaiting medication.

The development area underwent an expansion, which previously served as a garden, with the intention of preserving the existing plant elements in the waiting room area.

This project constituted a distinctive experience in that it fulfilled the primary role of a designer and visualizer for a masterplan competition team. The design posed an intriguing challenge, namely the conceptualization of a masterplan for water-based tourism in Timbulsloko village, Demak, Central Java.

The concept of Sustainable Eco-creative Neighborhood and Mangroves was employed to develop the Bogorame and Timbulsloko hamlets, which are surrounded by tidal flood waters from the sea that have not receded for years. This area was previously a prosperous village with vast rice paddies, but the tidal floods engulfed the entire village.

This competition project has the challenge of developing a site that was previously an active park but because it did not suit the needs of the residents, the park became neglected and became an unoccupied park.

The majority of residents are seniors retired from KAI who now need light sports activities, communal space for joking around that is easy to access and can provide a sense of calm.

This design presents a park that has sports facilities, communal space, microlibrary, fish therapy area, jogging track, multi-purpose open area that can be used for community meetings and healthy exercise for the elderly

The site is located on Jalan Tapak Siring 1-3, Pacar Keling, Tambaksari District, Surabaya City, East Java. Based on the results of a field survey that was carried out, it turned out that the site was a former playground that had been abandoned for more than 20 years The site area is close to the main road, KAI mess, food stalls, shops, kindergarten and KAI retirement housing.

The environment around the site does not facilitate large open areas, meaning that residents' activities that require social interaction and activities that involve many people must use the area in front of the local mosque There are not many activity options and the lack of social space needs means that people socialize less and tend to have a high level of individualism.

The sun's trajectory intersects with the narrow span of the site, resulting in the site receiving less intense sunlight during the day. This condition renders the site well-suited for activities that do not require prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as the shorter duration of sunlight ensures that the space remains cooler.

The direction of the predominant wind flow at the site is from the west, or from the direction of the railroad tracks This configuration will augment the impact of noise due to the effect of the wind on sound wave acceleration, which is a consequence of noise pollution caused by train activities

The surrounding roads are characterized as one-way local thoroughfares Therefore, it is imperative to consider the vehicular access to the site. Additionally, the narrow width of the road and the absence of pedestrian pathways must be taken into account to ensure optimal user accessibility.

The condition of the vegetation at the site of interest is quite intriguing The interior is replete with numerous dense trees and shrubs that occupy the site's expanse. When considering the historical context, the site's past as a microzoo, which contained plants, rabbits, and other small animals for children's play and education, becomes particularly noteworthy.

The configuration of the site is noteworthy for its unique topography, which features three sides that face the site and a multitude of entry points. The site is entirely encircled by roads, resulting in its current state of isolation. This environment has led to the deterioration of the site, which has become a lost space.

The initial design started with the consideration of the boundary line distance and the triangle point method to obtain the largest area as the main area

The main circular area is taken from the largest area as a result of applying the segitia gravity method by varying the elevation.

There are two main circulation directions that consider the direction of vehicle attainment and the area of the circulation area that is arranged so as to provide an attainment experience.

Development of vegetation areas as green open spaces that also enhance the visual and audio experience of the circulation space

Pools that are designed to follow the direction of circulation are presented for aesthetics as well as providing visual, audio experiences, and also increasing humidity ventilation.

Processing several different elevation variations to separate spaces and provide a visual and movement experience in each achievement path.

Additional space for facilities such as a library, restrooms, and a vehicle parking area t path

The architectural style of the café is a combination of brutalist architecture and modern elements, applying granite tiles from ARNA as the primary material This choice of materials contributes to an overall impression of solidity and elegance. The walls and floors are crafted from the natural texture of the granite, which seamlessly integrates with the minimalist design. The presence of large window slits allows for natural lighting during the day, creating dramatic shadow play At night, the use of artificial lighting with warm shades fosters an intimate atmosphere The soft sound of water from a small water-stream installation along side the pathway creates a tranquil atmosphere, making visitors feel relaxed and comfortable. In sum, the café's concept is one that is conducive to relaxation, conversation, and the enjoyment of a quality cup of coffee in an aesthetically harmonious setting.

The concept of a restorative space is an innovative post-pandemic offering designed to provide biological, psychological, and social recovery By integrating biophilic principles, these spaces foster connections with nature while promoting overall well-being One application of this idea is a biophilic café that blends natural elements with a welcoming social environment, encouraging both interpersonal interactions and a deeper engagement with nature. Such spaces aim to address the lingering effects of the pandemic by offering a sanctuary for relaxation, healing, and reconnection The café setting creates a harmonious balance between functionality and aesthetics, where visitors can experience tranquility and rejuvenation. This approach highlights the importance of designing spaces that support holistic health and social cohesion in a post-pandemic world.
