Jip Jip Rocks Shiraz - 2010 Regular Price $16.99

Lifted spice and ripe mulberry/blackberry aromas are complimented with chocolate, cedar and cinnamon on the nose. Well-integrated oak tannin provides flavors of clove and supple texture, which supports the rich plum, blackberry and mocha. The overall structure is supple and generous with finegrained tannin and a lingering finish.

On Line Review

“Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 Shiraz gives pronounced notes of warm blackcurrant, crushed blueberries and black pepper with hints of tar, mocha and loam. Medium to full bodied, it fills the mouth with peppered black berry flavors supported by a medium level of rounded tannins, lively acid and finishing long. Drinking now, it should remain good to 2015.- LPB” -89 Points Robert Parker “Deep garnet color. Aromas of cherry pie, mocha, and eucalyptus with a satiny, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a long, savory sundried tomato and cracked pepper accented finish.” -88 Points Beverage Tasting Institute

Flor de Baco Rioja Joven - 2011 Regular Price $15.49

Red cherry color with deep-red edges, clean and shiny. fruit aromas reminiscent of raspberry, blackberry and licorice topped with a touch of aromatic herbs. Mouth impression is fresh and fruity, spreading throughout the palate and leaving these fruit sensations along the way. Rioja, the most famous wine region in Spain, lies mostly within the autonomous community of La Rioja in the north of the country. The region is thought to derive its name from the Oja River, a tributary of the Ebro. Rioja covers a stretch of land 60 miles long and 25 miles wide that straddles both banks of the eastward-flowing Ebro. The Sierra de la Demanda mountain range is in the south and the Sierra de Cantabria range is to the north and west. These features combine to create the enviable grape-growing conditions of Rioja. The region’s red wines, based on Tempranillo, have cemented its place among Europe’s finest designations and firmly secured Spain’s position on the world’s wine map.

Line 39 Petite Sirah - 2011 Regular Price $10.99

The Petite Sirah offers aromas of red and black fruits, with a hint of oak. A full-bodied wine that is both complex and elegant, this wine boasts rich flavors of dark fruits, cherries and a long finish that we believe will help put Lake County on the map. This Petite Sirah calls out for big, juicy steak.

$20 Red Wine Cinder Syrah Regular Price $29.49

Our most popular red wine delivers yet again with rich, dark and meaty flavors that make this wine more similar to a Cote Rotie than an Australian Shiraz. The vineyard sources are Sawtooth, Skyline, and Williamson. 50 lbs of Viognier is added to each half-ton picking bin of Syrah for a co-fermentation that makes the wine even more complex and wild, this “cof-ermentation” is a winemaking technique originating in the Rhone region of France (they know a thing or two over there!). The wine is fermented in one-ton bins with manual punchdowns 4-5 times per day. Fermentation last 7-9 days with the wines pressed after dryness to maximize dark fruit characters. 18 month aging takes place in 40% new American oak barrels and 60% neutral (4-12 year old) barrels. Wine is racked once during aging to remove the lees from the barrels. This wine displays an abundance of dark fruit character spiced with a rich meatiness and hints of smoke and espresso. The mid-palate texture is heavy and flavors combine marionberry and spice. The flavors linger in the mouth but the finish is silky smooth in texture.
