Environment Statement Events like CHaSE produce a lot of waste over a short time. It is therefore incumbent on responsible organizers to minimize their carbon footprint. These are the steps we have taken. To ensure that our exhibitors are at their best when meeting students, CHaSE commits to providing all exhibitors with a tasty lunch and a private rest area. This year, we have gone with a vegetarian default, where unless otherwise requested, all lunches are vegetarian.

Product reusability. As CHaSE is a brand, many banners and products will bear our corporate logo, however each edition of CHaSE brings different exhibitors and partner organizations. The team has taken a decision to print the CHaSE logo only on items such as banners and forgo marketing to enable reusability.

Online not on-air. Among CHaSE’s partners are those based outside of the continent. Rather than fly our speakers in, we have opted for live webinars which deliver the same content with significantly lowered carbon footprint. Since many of the items are used only for the days of the event, CHaSE 2019 is committed to paper minimalization. We are minimizing paper use as far as possible and adopting digital replacements where we can. This Program eBooklet is an example. We urge you not to print this booklet unless required.

We welcome suggestions on how to further reduce our carbon footprint in future events (

Welcome to CHaSE

68 represented organizations 47 exhibitors 16 seminars 2 satellite events

It is my privilege to welcome you to CHaSE 2019, Stockholm’s premier career and jobs fair in life science and health and the largest career and jobs fair in KI’s history. Since 2014, CHaSE events have put more than 75 organizations in touch with our student pool of 6000 undergraduates (bachelors and masters students), 2100 PhD students and 900 postdoctoral scientists. We also market and attract students from other top Swedish institutions to our event (SU, UU, KTH, SSE etc).

CHaSE 2019 is proud to welcome the 68 organizations represented to our event this year, 47 of whom have elected to join as exhibitors. We are also proud to deliver 16 seminars/workshops and 2 satellite with our partners – KI Career Office, KI Alumni Office, KI Unit for Bioentrepreneurship, KI Grants Office, MF Doctoral Students Association and Women in Science. To our partner organizations, your presence at CHaSE is vote of confidence in the value of KI students, and we hope that CHaSE can be the venue for you to find your next great colleague. Another great partner in the success of CHaSE is our student/researcher participants without whom there would be no reason for CHaSE. We congratulate you on your decision to invest in yourself and participate in CHaSE.

Beyond its scale, CHaSE 2019 is also a pioneer. We are proud to announce the first grassroots-led networking event that invites academics, industry professionals and entrepreneurs to hopefully spur greater academia-industry collaboration. This is our small contribution to KI’s Strategy 2030. I wish you a very fruitful two days at CHaSE. Zach Chia

This first ever 'grassroots-led' casual pub wants to provide our participants an environment to network in a relaxed setting and get to know people from outside their area of work. Could more industryfocused lectures emerge as a result? Maybe new research ideas could be sparked? We look forward with excitement! Welcome drinks served complementary by CHaSE to the first 200 ticketed guests. Complementary nibbles are catered by Gastronaut Catering Stockholm, the only catering company in the Nordics to be nominated for a prestigious culinary award, â€œĂ…rets Banbrytareâ€? by White Guide 2018, alongside a Michelin-star chef.
