But, it’s the all-aluminum, direct-injected, supercharged 3.0 litre V6 that produces 300 horsepower (at a lofty 5,250 rpm) and a healthy 324 lb-ft of torque (from 2,900 to 4,500 rpm) that will keep gearheads excited. This engine is capable of propelling the A7 Sportback to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds with a capped, top speed of 155 mph.

The rock-solid chassis can be credited to its lightweight aluminum parts, newly developed power steering, and Audi’s drive select dynamics system that can be supplemented with the optional adaptive air suspension. An active lane assist helps keep the A7 Sportback firmly on course, while the new park assist system relieves the driver of the chore of steering when parallel parking.

Tackling the transmissions are a user-friendly multitronic (for the 2.8 and 3.0 turbo diesel) delivering smooth shifts to the front wheels, and a sporty seven-speed S tronic revving up the other engines. The latest generation of Audi’s Quattro allwheel drive gives the driver control, while the chassis combines sporty precision with luxurious comfort.

Cruising through twisty roads at an advanced clip allows the A7 to take advantage of its neutral cornering stance and minimal body roll. Whip it through the streets with the windows open and the volume cranked to 11 – because there’s no better way to experience its prowess. Audi’s A7 Sportback blends a level of refinement and technology into one beautiful package, proving once again that it is possible to bring seduction to the driving experience.

The Quattro’s all-wheel drive and grippy Yokohama Advan Sport tires eagerly push the A7 around on tarmac with ease. The Audi A7 Sportback sits on large wheels measuring from 18 to 20 inches in diameter and stops on a dime with massive brakes; four discs, created to connect centrifugal forces with the ground.
