How To Choose Between Different Accelerated Nursing Programs

If you want to get into nursing, there is a huge array of programs you could enroll in, with the accelerated nursing programs being the most popular ones. Very simply put, it is standard BSN degree program, but it is offered at a quicker pace, so it would take you only half the time that it would normally take you to complete a degree. The second most popular option is found in online nursing programs, which take longer to complete but you can complete them in your own time, while working on the side. Did you know that nursing degrees are the fourth most popular type of degree available today? There are a number of reasons for the rise in popularity of this degree. A school of nursing will tell you that one of the main reasons is that the salary is very attractive, but also that there are many different job opportunities in an exciting and diverse field and that it is a very rewarding area of work, because you deal with different people and different situations each day. The only issue people may face is that it is difficult to choose between the many accelerated nursing programs. Because there are 235 different schools across the country that offer this degree, it can be hard to see everything that is out there. However, it also means that you don't have to settle for anything less than the best. Plus, there are increasing numbers of online nursing programs available too, particularly with more and more schools seeing the benefit of offering these programs. You have another option as well. Most nursing degrees are bachelor's programs, but you could also opt for an accelerated masters program. This is a slightly longer option, but it is still shorter than traditional degree programs. Basically, you will be fast tracked through the BSN program and go straight on to MSN course work in just a single program. Be prepared to work hard if you opt for this though. If you find a school of nursing that offers the accelerated BSN program, you will be expected to already hold a degree in a field that is somewhat relevant to nursing. This way, you will receive your nursing degree in as little as a year, sometimes even less. However, even if you don't hold a degree yet, you could opt for the accelerated BSN program and still only spend half the normal time to achieve your degree.
