INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS DAY CELEBRATED BY NASSCOM FOUNDATION -: Mumbai Reporter:On Dec 5th International Volunteers Day was celebrated by Nasscom Foundation with associated WNS Cares Foundation a t M u m b a i . Wo r k s h o p w a s conducted on topic marketing and communication for NGO's. The venue was WNS office, Plant 5, Gate No. 2, Godrej & Boyce Complex, Pirojshanagar, LBS Marg, Vikhroli (West), Mumbai – 400079. Pragatee Foundation and its team members were also participated in event. Keeping the context of low cost marketing and communication for NGOs the session has 4 groups. Each group has 5 NGO representatives and One/two member company volunteers who were spend 120 min specifically answering the communication challenges of the NGO representatives by laying down

fundamentals of marketing and communication. This can be in an interactive method or through presentations. The session was aim at laying down 4-5 key trends in marketing and communication, and developing a strategy for the same. How to develop a marketing and communication plan, what to include? The new innovative tools like social media the volunteers focus on low cost tools for the NGOs. Overview, Context Setting & Welcome Note was prepared by WNS and its team members. For the Education, Empowerment and Enrichment of community's women Pragatee Foundation took an initiative step and started its unique Computer Literacy Program along with Aadhar Skill Development Trust. As part of Community's women Computer skill development program pragatee foundation implemented Pace (poona)'s Typing and Data Entry course along with Nasscom Foundation's MICROSOFT UNLIMITED POTENTIAL program. Course contents are very well designed by expert committee members so that after completion of course student can easily start her bread of earnings. Curriculum

COMPUTER MAINTENANCE TIPS COMPUTER MAINTENANCE TIPS: Change your passwords. (Yes, I know this is a pain, I hear you groaning. But it's really a good idea to do this). If you have a mouse with a roller ball (non-optical) clean it out. Use a Q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the ball and the internal rollers. Remove any caked on grease, oil, and dust that may have accumulated. Check to see if you need to defragment your computer's hard drive. To do this in Windows XP, go to Start, All Programs, A c c e s s o r i e s , S y s t e m s To o l s , D i s k Defragmenter. Run an analysis first by clicking the Analyze button. Go do something else while it runs. Windows will tell you if it needs to be defragmented. If it does, click on the Defragment button, and again go do something else while your computer runs this. For Windows Vista, this computer maintenance tip is a little different: Go to Start, All Programs, and click on Accessories. Find

Systems Tools, Disk Defragmenter and click on it. Vista will ask you for permission to continue. Click Continue. Vista doesn't give you the ability to choose to defragment, it just assumes you want to and presents a schedule to do so. You can stick with the suggested schedule, or modify it. If you want to kick off the defrag process immediately, click the Defragment Now button. It will then ask you which drive you want to defrag. Uncheck the drives you don't want to defrag, and then click OK. Check all your computer cables and make sure they are plugged in tight, and not being pinched or pulled in a way that is damaging them. Check your C: drive (hard disk) for disk errors. NOTE: please make sure you have a current backup of your files before you run a check disk command. (Also, do this immediately if you see a message stating that your Windows â&#x20AC;&#x153;volume is dirtyâ&#x20AC;?). To run a check disk manually on your C:

drive, do this: Click Start, select Run. In the box, type cmd and click Ok. In the black DOS window, type: chkdsk c: /f (The /f command automatically fixes any errors encountered. Go to Start, Shutdown, and restart the computer. When the computer restarts, it will run chkdsk automatically. The Check Disk process could take over an hour, so schedule this when you have something else non-computer related to do. On rebooting the PC, you will see a window that shows the progress of the disk check. When it's finished,, it will boot back to the normal version of Windows.

This style of yoga is physically demanding as it involves synchronizing breathing with progressive and continuous series of postures-a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, flexibility, stamina, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. Ashtanga is an athletic yoga practice and is not for beginners.

IYENGAR YOGA Iyengar Yoga, developed by yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar more than 60 years ago, promotes strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance through coordinated breathing and poses that require precise body alignment. The poses are generally held longer than in other styles of yoga. In Iyengar, you slowly move into a pose, hold it for a minute or so, and then rest for a few breaths before stretching into another. Equipment like cushions, blankets, straps, and blocks to help the less flexible also distinguishes Iyengar from other types of yoga. Although Iyengar incorporates the traditional postures, or asanas, that make up the broader category of hatha yoga, the cushions and other props revolutionized yoga by enabling everyone -- even the elderly, sick, and disabled -to practice. Because of its slow pace, attention to detail, and use of props, Iyengar yoga can be especially good if you're recovering from an injury.
