f your New Year’s resolutions included; getting more exercise, giving up smoking or getting involved in your local community, you can put your resolutions into practice by joining the Mornington Peninsula Relay For Life on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of March 2012. Cancer Council Victoria is calling on Mornington Peninsula Residents to support the Relay For Life and rally a group of friends and family to participate in the overnight event. Relay For Life is suitable for everyone, and is an opportunity for us to band together and celebrate with cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against cancer. Relay For Life will see teams of locals taking turns to walk or run through the night to raise funds. The money raised will fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs to help Mornington Peninsula residents reduce their cancer risk, and provide support services for people facing cancer. As well as being an opportunity to spend time with the people you care about most, Relay For Life gives us all the chance to make a tangible difference to the people we know who are facing cancer. When you know someone facing cancer, it can be difficult to know how to help – Relay For Life is a simple way that every one of us can provide real support.
