For incoming kindergarten students on April 29, preparing for school wasn’t about pencils and paper — it was about music and dancing. Sarasota County Schools hosted its Kickoff to K party at the Sarasota location of Suncoast Technical College on April 29. “It was surprising because I didn’t know what to expect, and it actually ended up being a really enlightening experience,” said Davis Stephens, whose son, Theo Stephens, 5, is preparing to enter kindergarten. The event is a partnership between the school district, the Suncoast Remake Learning Foundation and the Early Learning Coalition.
