Sarasota shows love for American Heart Association The American Heart Association hosted the Go Red for Women ’80s Dance Party Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Darwin’s on Fourth, to celebrate a decade of heart-disease awareness for women. Boston Scientific sponsored the dance party, which promoted cardiovascular exercise. The Go Red for Women campaign dispels the myth that heart disease is a man’s disease: Since 1984 more women have died from heart disease than men.
