Welcome to St. Margaret’s first collection of e to com Wel Open Gardens

St. Margaret’s collection of Glorious Somerset Gardens

Here at St. Margaret’s Hospice we know how important our gardens are to the health and wellbeing of our patients and their families, providing places of relaxation as well as reflection. For years our loyal supporters have been opening their gardens to raise funds for us. This year we have more than 50 amazing gardens to visit, including a village walkabout, allotment, arboretum, woodland walk and many stunning gardens with beautiful views. There is something to interest everyone. In addition, many gardens will be offering delicious cakes, scones and teas, or added extras such as children’s trails and book sales. St. Margaret’s Hospice has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for 39 years, delivering high quality, responsive and compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness. 100% of the care and support we provide is free of charge to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness, no matter how long they need our care. To continue to deliver this exceptional level of care we have to raise more than £9.5m after NHS funding. Every year we are humbled by the response we receive from people in Somerset, from opening gardens to jumping out of planes! We hope you enjoy the summer of 2019, getting out and about and enjoying these wonderful gardens. Thank you to all our garden owners and volunteers. We are so grateful to you for dedicating your time, and of course your gardens, for St. Margaret’s. Together we can make each day count for patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness across Somerset. Thank you, Marisa Lovell-Fox Head of Fundraising
