STEP 5: REGISTER FOR CLASSES –
Assessment consists of placement exams in reading, sentence skills, and mathematics. Visit the Student Transition Center in Building #52, Window 18 no appointment is necessary.
STEP 4: COUNSELING/EDUCATIONAL PLAN –

STEP 3: COMPLETE ASSESSMENT TEST –
Complete the Admissions Application online at VVC.edu
Mail/Drop Box Online In person at the VVC Bursar's Office after you register. If you have financial aid it’s recommended you go there first
Webadvisor – With WebAdvisor Students can register for classes Pay fees and view financial aid information. If you pay your Fees early enough your parking permit and receipt can be mailed to your home so you never have to wait in line. Backups – when approaching the Addmisions office have a backup class and section number ready. Certain classes fill up fast and if you have a backup class if yours is full you wont have to wait in line again. Financial Aid •
Step1 - Fafsa – Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to fill out your Fasfa – Search for School Codes • VVC’s is 001335
Step 2 – Verification – After your application has been submitted check VVC within 30-45 days to verify your Fasfa was received • This can be done through Web Advisor to see if your award letter is available or if any documents are needed
Step 4 – Follow-up – If any documents are needed they can be dropped off in the red box in front of financial aid.
Common Question – When I Apply? • Students can Apply as early as January.
– Does Pell grant have to be repaid? • No, because it’s a grant it is free money
– Do you have to be a full time student? • No however amounts do vary by units carried
– Does my financial Aid carry over? • No Financial Aid should be done every year

Rams Bookstore •
Skipping Lines –
You can be assured you are purchasing the right books by buying your
book online at vvcrams.com. You are able to pay for your books online and pick them up at the bookstore without waiting in line.
Discounts – If you have an ASB Card you can buy your books the Saturday before the Fall and Spring Semesters and receive 10% off all your books and supplies. – For a limited time the bookstore also sells ultra star movie tickets for $6.75 at any showing
Selling your Books – At the begining and ending of every semester there is what is called a book buy back. Students are able to sell there books and receive cash for them there. The program is hosted at the bookstore window, however is ran by an outside company.
Book Advances – You must bring a copy of your awards letter, your current student I.D. and your current class schedule with you to see if you qualify for an advance to the bookstore accounting office – Please contact the bookstore accounting office for more information: 760-245-4271 Ext 2612 or Ext 2454
Computers and Accessories – Not only does the bookstore sell computers and software, it can be ordered there. – You can customize your apple product and have it shipped to the bookstore – Most software not available at the bookstore can be ordered – All computers and software are pre-discounted with an educational discount

Mall Computers –
Every student is entitled to 1hr of tutoring a week upon recommendation via counselor or teacher All tutor can tutor up to math 226 Calculus and some can tutor higher. Appointments are scheduled at the East help desk.
Web Advisor / Blackboard Help Desk –
The Writing Center Has trained tutor that can help in MLA and APA styles of writing. Open 9-7 Monday – Thursday
The Mall Computers are not only equipped with the latest office software but also • CIS 101 digital book and HW assignments • Peachtree for accounting students • A.D.A.M. for anatomy classes • And more The Mac Computers • The Mac Computers have mouses that can be checked out. They are loaded with graphic software such as Photoshop and illustrator

What we do – The ASB Council members are representitives of the students – We are supported by the ASB cards, students buy and in return we host events givaway prizes and produce discount brochures. – ASB also works with many groups such as the foundation to provide student scholarshhips Clubs – There are quite a few clubs at vvc but, that does not meen you shouldn’t start one – All ASB card holding students can start there own clubs by filling out a club packet and speaking to the current I.C.C. representatvie – All clubs musst have a faculty or staff advisor Meetings – ASB has a meeting every week uaslly on fridays – All students and falculty are welcome to our meetings ASB Goals – Enhace Campus Beautification – Enhance Technology – Increase Certificate Programs – A.S.A.C.C. College of the Year – The A.S.B. Council shall represent the students of V.V.C. and ensure educational and extra-curricular opportunities by increasing and promoting A.S.B. card sales. – Provide Scholarships – Book Rental Program – Improve Customer Service – Increase the number of work study job opportunities. – To improve communication regarding services and events, the A.S.B. will develop and distribute additional literature and utilize existing technology. – To lessen the burden on students during peak registration – To strengthen the image of V.V.C. by expanding our leadership conferences to more local schools. – The A.S.B.
